I'm not a dictator (pauses, smiles, reporters laugh). I can only make the best possible case to the Repubs but it's a choice they make. The idea that there's a secret formula is wrong. If there was a secret way to do it I would have done it. I can only offer to compromise and I will continue to do so but I can't order Congress to do the right thing. This means putting the middle class first even after these cuts.

imho...he loves to ‘rub it in our faces’; he tries to make jest of what others believe in order to diminish those people and to diffuse the truth.
