Update from TX: So far, no signs of mass starvation or plagues of locusts

In New York, there was a perp with an oversized soda, walking down the street in broad daylight. I kid you not. Apparently there was no unfurloughed law enforcement to apprehend them. This is getting serious folks. Hug your children.

Sequester Update #3: Conditions remain highly volatile here in the Lone Star State. I’ve noticed clouds forming outside of my office window. With hundreds of NOAA staff on furlough, we just can’t be certain if it is going to rain OR IF THE SUN ITSELF HAS GONE DARK.

Sequester Update #4: I’ve observed people starting around 12:00 somewhat randomly leaving offices. Again, just my opinion, but they look hungry. Has mass starvation begun?!
