223 NATO= 340 lbs/PSI,

12 guage= 3200 lbs/PSI

I believe that the reason why the government is focusing on AR's first is because they know that the AR is a tactical long range combat weapon and they know that they are doing everything to bring on armed rebellion.

So Biden may not be as stupid as it appears

Its like how theives lock their own stuff up tighter than anyone

In a insurrection scenario close combat would be a fatal mistake when outnumbered and outgunned. Traditional combat in the AR range would be most effective, especially against helicopters and drones. And that is where they would take it. Eye contact assault against ones own people could prove a disaster for them. They would need to demonize and surgical bomb isolated groups

I think the government leaders are perplexed that a group has not yet attacked them for their obvious tyrannical activities in violation of the constitution

In their consciences, the leaders know they deserve to be slaughtered, the American people just dont realize it yet. The American population is peaceful, fat and happy so far. And they wont know they are slaves until it is way too late, the propaganda and mind control machine is working very well for the evil leaders.

....until the ATM's run dry and the store shelves go empty everything will be fine. The american dollar is teetering on the brink

I don’t mean to be critical or making trouble but what you’re using isn’t accurate. IMO its important to be accurate especially when discussing firearms and self defense.

.223 Remington isn’t Nato, 5.56 is NATA standard round with the main difference being the chamber pressure the rifles can handle. 5.56 NATO ammunition (60k CUP) shouldn’t be used in a rifle chambered for .223 (50k CUP).

Regardless the energy numbers are highly dependent on the ammunition.

The .223 round will have in the neighborhood of 2800 to 3200 fps and 1300 ftlbs at the muuzzle. The 5.56 NATO round will have slightly more, again depending on the specific ammunition being tested. A 12 ga 2 3/4” shell with 00 will have around 1500 ft lbs at 10 yds.

So there isn’t a huge difference in energy between the two calibers at distances encountered in the home. The only real difference is the 12ga fires 8-12 .32 caliber pellets at a time depending on the shell size. Also, since the 5.56/.223 firearm is rifled it has a longer effective range.

My theory is that nobody employed in a tyrannical part of the government could ever go home again.
