Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jim Miller cited religion Tuesday in arguing that an openly gay player would not be welcomed in NFL locker rooms.
“There are some religions that are just not going to accept a gay individual in the locker room,” Miller told "The McNeil and Spiegel Show" on WSCR-AM 670. “So now, are you as an organization going to bring that element into your locker room and think everything is going to be OK?

This is all taking me back to 1966 when I headed off to college, a naive lightweight - I wanted to be a Physical Education teacher, or so I thought. I walked into the girl’s locker room during summer orientation, and was shocked at the number of jock women staring me down. Was I jumping to false conclusions? Who knows, but I immediately left the locker room and went to the counselor’s office to change my major.
OK, OK, it’s the caring grammarians now.
“I could care less” may be irony.
Actually, the correct phrase is: "I could care less, but I'd have to be dead".
Creates divisiveness on a football team, and leads to a losing attitude, but is NOT supposed to do so in combat?
What’s wrong with this picture....
If some flaming queer QB threw for 4500 yards in a season and won the Super Bowl, no one would care and everyone in the locker room would manage.
Drug addicts (i.e. pot smokers) want to be seen as simply seeking an alternative reality. Gays and lesbians just want to be seen as normal. Pederasts want to become just the child-friend neighbors next door.
Who can blame them?
And who are their enemies?
Society/culture at large, those who believe in God--any god perhaps.
This is the standard tug of war that has gone on forever. All the way back to ancient Greece and before.
The problem is that this is a war, an ancient war, between the Truth and the LIE.
It's that same old war.
I listened on the radio today as Dick Cheney praised gay marriage because his daughter is gay. Well, okay...that is one way evil gains a foothold.
My son or daughter is gay...I love them, therefore I must approve of their sin.
And this is where the rubber hits the road. This is the razor's edge.
The problem is religion.
The problem is right and wrong.
And in the end, a person must choose.
We must choose right (i.e. God) or we must settle on something less (the love of our children--right or wrong).
If we choose our children (right or wrong), we relinquish our role as leaders--as parents.
We give in to our children even though our children are leading many to sin...to death.
To offer a loved one THE choice (and to tell them the truth about the consequences)...to offer them a chance to choose an eternity of Godliness over an eternity of sin...and to tell them of your disapproval of their path and why. What greater act can a man perform for his children or for God?
But to tell a child that their act of sin is OK...that, in fact, God is wrong.
Wow...I would not want to make that mistake.
