Objection! That creature has neither the brains nor the ability to be a Caesar. (Those guiding and funding him, such as Axelrod, Emmanuel etc may have the collective ability to transform our Republic into an Empire.)

However, I have a faint hope that inside Americans(not Third World invaders)there may be enough spirit left to throw these "Third World leaders" into the trash.

That is what the urban blue majority voted for. The urban citizens...are fools, especially the young women. They hunt for a daddy that doesn’t exist. They believe that by working to make a difference by living the leftist creed it will all go away. Being fools, they believe the Reverend Jeremiah Wright and his disciples who spew hate.

They also believe it's OK to vote 10 times.

I am reminded of the oak tree in “Atlas Shrugged”

I am reminded of the scene from “Easy Rider” when Jack Nicholson tells Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda that..”This use’d to be a damn good Country.”

Permanently? Yikes! ...

My return ticket is 12/19. I will go back in Jan/14 if everything goes to plan!

I'll be looking at a rental house just out of this pic, to the right, on Thursday...

excellent synopsis. The tipping point is indeed here or very close at hand.

I’m a huge basketball fan, so a few days ago I was on this sports website called SBNation reading an article about a certain team in the NBA. The guy writing the article saw fit to use the f word several times among other vulgar words. I thought to myself this clown (Matthew Sharp) actually used it as an adjective. He had to know he’s writing an article read by adults, and he thought it fit to use f.....g to describe some particular play. I don’t know how old this idiot is, but anybody who uses casual obscenity in a sports article that could be read by teens or children is not an adult.

“No state is going to secede, nor would the fed govt allow it (regardless of original terms of statehood).”

Perhaps not.

But a _group of states_, bound together by like-mindedness and preparation, might be in a position to “break off and float away” on their own, in the event of a total collapse of the DC government.

Everyone with foresight sees some kind of “collapse” coming — that’s the premise of this thread. But must _every_ state be pulled down into the sinkhole when that happens?

Think back in history to one of the great disasters — the Titanic.

When it hit the iceberg, ripping open the forward portion of the ship, it sank from the bow down.

As the bow dropped lower, it pulled the stern of the ship upwards, right out of the water into the air.

But the forces involved were so great, the weight of the sinking bow vis-a-vis the opposing weight of the rising stern, that “the center” could not hold (apologies to Mr. Yeats). The ship tore itself apart, just below the waterline. (Aside: in Walter Lord’s “A Night To Remember”, he mentions “a great noise” that everyone heard before the final plunge. But he never mentioned the “split”, perhaps because no one realized what actually had happened until Robert Ballard discovered the wreckage in 1985. Perhaps the “noise” people heard was the “tearing” of the superstructure itself.)

Once the bow ripped away, it plunged towards the bottom.

The stern “settled back”, before it, too, went down. There were watertight bulkheads “behind” the tear, but they weren’t high enough or strong enough to keep the waters out.

BUT — what if the watertight bulkheads in the stern had been high enough and strong enough to enable the stern to float on its own, once the bow was gone? Could those on the stern have survived?

This is what the red states must do — they must “build a bulkhead” that gives them a chance at survival when the DC government collapses and the blue states plunge to the bottom.

We see the red states taking small steps toward doing this today — laws that shield their citizens from ObamaCare, laws that seek to protect the rights of gun owners, etc.

The governors and legislatures of these states must confer with one another, and agree upon a pathway to the future that is “congruent”. I’m aware that the Constitution forbids compacts between the states (arrived at outside of the federal process), but no “agreements’ need to be codified to paper. It’s more important to agree on a general set of principles that each state will use to proceed _independently_ of one another.

And when the time comes, they will be prepared to actually JOIN together, as the rest of the country falls apart and sinks toward the bottom...

If it comes to that, then that WILL BE the collapse the author portends. Americans know that the future figures to be very dangerous and they don’t want to face it unarmed.

I’ve been seriously considering the Caymans; however, the problem is: how can I get my money the hell out of Obamaland?

This nation may never turn around. Barky laid a big egg that’s going to hatch and gobble up whatever’s left of America.

Just consider this:

How are the gun rights there? Or are you subject to house invasion and the like with only non-lethal weapons to fight back with?

That would be a major consideration for me.

Guns are not common, but neither are home invasions.
I will be living in a city , but not in the center. I will be almost beachfront, if is first place isn’t what I want.
BUT, I will also be renting from the chief of police! Ormoc City is not NYC or Chi- town!

Well, good for you. However, I would not live anywhere I could not own a gun (or any number of guns I wish to own) to defend myself.

You are definitely more trusting of others’ intentions than I.

America is an empty shell. The termites have consumed the supporting structure. The slightest wind will cause the entire edifice to collapse.

This country no longer has a will to live. The greatest proof: the majority is pleased with Obama and his suffocating debt. No spending cuts are allowed. We are headed at 90 miles per hour toward a cliff.

How many times has your home been invaded?
Life is short and if your gun brings you happiness, that’s fine with me. I can live without it. I will be under God’ umbrella, so if He wants me home, so be it!
BUT, my happiness is more about living an easy life among pleasant people. That is getting more difficult by the day in Amerika.
I have every intention of a start-up business, but for now, I am a tourist checking our the world!!!
Ph 1:21: For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain...

I try to think of where to go, but only Russia comes to mind...... No f’in diversity wanted or needed. So, in other words, the Russians might not need or even welcome a bunch of Americans that would want to settle in their country. If/when we do experience an economic collapse, I suspect that most other nations will not open their borders to Americans trying to flee, they will have enough trouble with their own native population

The idea is to BECOME a Russian. If one looks European, and agrees to read, write, and speak Russian as soon as possible, I believe they would allow immigration.

If one could divest of all Amerikan assets and have that in a trust fund of some kind, a really huge corporation could be established to construct new towns etc. there for the influx of freedom-loving former citizens of Amerika.

$BILLION$
