Rand on Immigration:

I thought I read that Paul liked but did not officially endorse Rubio's amnesty comprehensive immigration plan [a rework of McCain's CI plan].

However, Wikipedia has this under the Rand Paul bio:
If Paul holds to that, he will be miles ahead of Rubio for 2016.

==

Rand states on FNS he would only support comprehensive immigration (a.k.a., amnesty for illegals) only if there was a yearly report approved/voted on by Congress, stating that the border is secure.

[That canard has been in every major immigration bill, and it has been ignored after amnesty was granted. Rand is naive on that issue. Even if Congress approved his amendment, Administrations would ignore it and Congress would, too.]

==

Wallace ends the interview with 'you sound like you are running' [presidential run in 2016].

My favorite part was when Wallace suggested to Rand that “right or wrong” doesn’t really matter. Who could possibly doubt it!

turned on FNS in time to hear Graham say he was ‘so disappointed in the Commander-in-Chief’.

Actually he got a little harsher than that, thank God.

What’s the deal with Mc and Cheezy? They haven’t missed a Sunday morning in weeks. They are getting more face time than anyone else.

They are the lead RINOs, (democrats) hence acceptable to the RATagandists.

Rand talking about that-guy regarding his comments to "do it my way or the highway" and will bypass Congress, actually revealing that he is not serious about immigration reform and wants to do nothing...then blame it on the Republicans.

Re Rand Paul: Finally a Republican says that the democrats need to have a villain, and will change the rules, move the goal posts, ask for more, refuse to ‘compromise’ always, in order to keep their voters in line, and in order to never take the blame for anything.

Woodward speaking...needs good beating.

FNS

Rove criticizes Lugar and claims the loss was because Lugar hadn’t been to his ‘home’ state in decades, except to run for elections.

How many others on Capitol Hill do the same?

Blanche Lincoln, former Senator from Arkansas, actually ‘resided’ in Virginia (IIRC).

==

The Founding Fathers never intended Congress to be ‘full time’ nor ‘year round’ nor life-long career positions. Too bad they didn’t include Constitutional provisions to prohibit those 3 items.

Sequester deadline 2 weeks away.

Doubtful. Congresss will just kick the can down the road again.

Rove stated that more candidates makes for a better outcome, they need to be scrutinized to get disciplined candidates that can win...more Rand Pauls and fewer ChristineO’Donnells.

He supported Rand Paul and Marco Rubio.

Morning AB, all.

Thank you for doing this thread AB, hope the rest of y’all have a good Sunday without too much snow.

Sitting here watching Karl Rove on Fox News Sunday.

What a bunch of crap this man dishes up. What a liar!

I am watching that horrible Karl Rove and he says to do what he says and we’ll get MORE Rand Pauls and fewer Christine O’Donnell.

This is why folks like me HATE Karl Rove.

Mike Castle, for 30 years, lived with that guy all quiet like. When he was 70 he up and married some young thing cause he needed beard.

There’s nothing wrong with Christine O’Donnell. She happened to have been there long before she beat Castle, all the while as we BEGGED the Delaware GOP to get us away from Castle.

“Soon,” they shushed us. “soon. Be patient.”

Next thing we know, Castle’s running for Senator!!!

It’s the fault of the likes of ROVE that the Tea Party and Christine O’Donnell came to be.those Blue Blood Elites will NEVER admit it.

Lord I hate Karl Rove.despise the man.

If any staff member of a tv political show reads this thread, please consider this suggestion:

STOP asking every guest if they are going to run for president in 2016. PLEASE!

It is a waste of conversation for questioner and answerer!
Dead air time is more stimulating.

I keep getting this weird message, from Xfinity, only on FreeRepublic and Lucianne.com.

It says they’ve found a BOT on my computer.

I also get this message on the Kindle, big pop-up, blocks my screen.

Got to call the Xfinity folks but I don’t know how I got those weird symbols, much less posting twice.

Heh.

Ben Carson interviewed on ABC- didn’t think what he said was particularly political. Asked God for wisdom before he gave his speech. Receeived lots of feedback, especially from older Americans.

Jonathon Karl - what do you make of obama as a leader? Carson says he is a very talented politician. (lol, satan is, too)

Asked about whether he would get into politics - Carson says he will leave it up to God.

Why do they keep saying, to the effect, that “it’s assumed that Chuck Hagel will be nominated?”

I don’t believe this.

What’s going on with the talking over each other on Meet the Depressed?

So why are we to “assume” that horrible traitor Hagel will be nominated?

Sounds like a stupid sound byte to me.
