Missouri Democrats introduced an anti-gun bill which would turn law-abiding firearm owners into criminals. They will have 90 days to turn in their guns if the legislation is passed.
Dana Loesch Radio reported on the new legislation being pushed by Missouri Democrats:
Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution.
Heres part of the Democratic proposal in Missouri:
4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:
(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;
(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or
(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.
5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.
NO MORE GUN LAWS!
So what’s the legislative make up of Missouri?
Not going to happen.
How about 90 days for Democrats to pack up and leave the country? I like that one much better.
Don't call those weapons "illegal"... call them "undocumented."
Wow, didn’t figure that CW-II would start this soon. Gonna be interesting to see if the dim-bulb-crats actually try and pull this off.
Hope they’ve made sure that their addresses are very very secure.
Over a 2:1 ratio of Republican superiority in both houses.
I thought posting from the Onion wasn’t allowed on Free Republic...
Sounds like some chrome plated bracelets are in order here. What is this clown? An Ozark Mountain dare devil?
“How about 90 days for Democrats to pack up and leave the country?”
Cuba might be a good destination.
IMHO
Can we just have anyone who signs onto crap like this bill arrested and prosecuted for attempt to deny civil rights under the color of authority?
It’s so clear that the ultimate goal of the Dems is first gun limitations, then gun registration, and then gun confiscation . . . it’s like the frog in a pan of cold water which gradually becomes boiling, and it’s cooked before it knows it. Them thar’ Dems are sneaky!
Mostly about nuzzeling up to Obama...
Nothing more.
Can’t use Cuba, That many Rat’s would cause the island to flip over.
Missouri is Republican control of the House or veto proof of the DimRat Gov.! Stupid, stupid ass wipes, those DimRats.
Yep, not going to happen..Anyone know the name and district of this dim-bulb?
So its just a democrat tantrum.
And strategically dumb, as it simply reinforces the pro-2A point that confiscation is the eventual goal of these... things (hard to call them people anymore).

You got that one right. I wonder if some guns may be reported stolen in the near future.
I think it would be easy to conclude that these Dems are criminals for attempting to deny citizens their constitutional rights and can be considered a threat to individual safety.
Before I thought citizens militia’s were a bunch of nuts. Now???
Actually believe this should be enforced post haste.
Democrats are badly outnumbered in the House and Senate.
Posturing by attention whore Democrats with a bill that will never see the light of day.
Let them prattle on. They have no idea what they are going to see in next years election cycle:
1. Cannot locate many calibers of ammunition for hunting or for self defense
2. Backorders on any magazines/clips holding more than 10 rounds
3. Most weapons on backorder or unavailable for an unknown period of time
Every hillbilly, hunter and constitution-loving American will be at the polls next year voting for anyone with a “D” not by their name.
Pre Obama I owned no firearms, but after one term with this fool at the helm, I now have 4.
Would that be “nuzzeling” of “Musling” as in agreement with the “possibly” mu-slum potus.
Passage can wait until later, when they are in a better position to force it through.
I don’t think I would want the job of enforcing that law.
Cracks me up that the Royals and I think the Cardinals are rabid Antigun buttwads. In a Midwest state with a large country population.

(1) “Assault weapon”, any:
(a) Semi-automatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and has one or more of the following:
a. A pistol grip or thumbhole stock;
b. Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the nontrigger hand;
c. A folding or telescoping stock; or
d. A shroud attached to the barrel, or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the nontrigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel;

(d) Semi-automatic shotgun that has one or more of the following:

Doesn’t the forend of the stock meet the definition of 1(a)b & d?
And if any 3rd party manufacture ever makes a 11 or more round magazine, your semi-auto pistol becomes an assault weapon regardless of original manufacture or other features?
Yes, you nailed it.
Doesn't matter. It opens a door to introducing a bill to make insanity in public elected and appointed officials and candidates a felony, regardless of age, race, party, sex, citizenship or national origin.
That ought to clear up most governing problems.
Cuba might be a good destination.
IMHO"
Great idea Ripley! Gimto is a "gun free" zone for the new politician "residents" and they should feel safe there!
IMHO
BTTT
If the repubs are smart (huge if), they will usher this bill to an immediate roll call vote.
- Get these Dems on record with a vote cast in favor of confiscation.
(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or
(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.
They forgot option (4:) Use said weapons and magazines to exercise Constitutional right of self-defense against overreaching tyrannical government attempting to deny the citizenry of their basic rights, specifically removing every elected official that voted in favor of this law.
We could use a sanctuary city, never mind state, for conservatives, while any remain.
Eventually we’ll be on a reservation anyway.
I like my current tagline but the line that goes through my mind numerous times while reading FR is, “And what are you DOING about it?”
What we ought to be doing, in this case, is converging on the steps of the Missouri legislature and protesting not only their proposed bill, but their very presence in the building.
When will sane people get together and proclaim, this has gone far enough?
The Founding Fathers would never have stood for this. They wouldn’t have shrunk from fighting and sacrificing their comforts and conveniences. They would not have placed their children in these compost heaps of public schools, either.
In their day, any publisher who printed the mental manure that our media spreads today, would be afraid to show his face in public.
Nuts or not, you can be sure they all have FBI moles in their ranks - which makes them ineffective.
Or as the democrats call it SHOW TIME.In their mine it’s a scam to make them look like they care and win votes.
ALL who vote for and support it suould have their names & addresses posted on line along with their family members.
Come on folks now don’t be chicken.
Concur. Give this as much publicity and documentation as possible.
I’m sure that Senator Todd Akin and his supporters will see to it that the Democrat Governor of Missouri never signs this into law.
Yeah... No.
I really wish there were a way to make this level of stupid self-moderatingly painful...

Low volume ping list
FReepmail me to be on, or off, this list.
The DemoncRATS just stepped on their own sack with golf shoes on.
Missouri is already a red state. Soon it may be a blood red state.
But Cuba is STILL in Missouri!
They are doing this for cover for some other nefarious thing they have going on.
It's always amazed me the libs are so stupid as to use those phrases or that anyone believes them. Everyone knows they are lying when they say that.
In a discussion with libs about gun grabbing you can say: Well there are 300 million plus guns in the U.S.. After all your legislation of guns there are still going to be 300 million guns.
Lib: Of course not.
Then what are they going to do? Evaporate?
"Use 'em or lose 'em." is being forced on us.
Akins is/was a US house member, not a Missouri house member.
