No. Clinton was impeached, tried and acquitted by the Senate. But resignation and impeachment are two things that don’t happen to most presidents, but one or the other did happen to Nixon and Clinton. In the time after Clinton’s acquittal and before Nixon’s death, those two were in a club all by themselves. They could no doubt identify with each other in a big way.
