CNN Absurdly Asks If Rubio's Sip of Water Was 'Career-Ender'
NewsBusters ^

Posted on 02/13/2013 4:25:10 PM PST by chessplayer

<> On Wednesday's The Situation Room, host Wolf Blitzer absurdly wondered if Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) pausing his State of the Union response for a drink of water would "break" his career. The CNN chyron flashed "Career-ender?"

"So can a drink of water make or break a political career?" Blitzer asked. "A U.S. Senator, possible presidential candidate. We're going to find out, whether he likes it or not." [Video below the break. Audio here.]

The gesture was awkward.

Yes, the hesitant "should I or shouldn't I" was a little goofy looking. It will soon be forgotten.

Yet if this is the biggest critique of Rubio's speech that libs can come up with, I dare think they're worried.

I mean, really, this crap is scraping the bottom.

The MSM is just marking their next target for total total destruction.

Too bad the GOP doesn't realize we are in all out warfare with the global left.

So then these two careers should have ended also?

Nah, taking a sip of water is not as serious as publishing a computer generated birth certificate or making $100,000 in one year in the commodities market in the first year with no prior experience.

That was exactly the argument I was making four years ago, when the GOP did nothing while the media was on its bloody wilding rampage of Palin, blowing up the most idiotic controversies and distractions out of nothingness to drag her down. I warned that if this wasn’t pushed back, it would be the new playbook the Dem-media-complex would apply to destroy ALL viable Republicans coming down the pike. But nope, the GOP leaders not only ignored this, but pretty much joined in with the trashing of Palin. The stupid GOP helped legitimize this new paradigm, and now they are going to be pummelled by it. I’m almost inclined to say they are getting their just desserts.

.... If I was Rubio (Which I obviously am not) .... I would mock the media and actually make a drink of water from a bottle .... my trade mark.

Rubio's sip of water showed strength and confidence.

He wasn't afraid to deviate from his script if it helped him to accomplish his goal.

If he needed the sip of water to continue, he should take it.

Would they have been happier if he dehydrated and passed out on camera?

If getting a drink of water is a career ender for anyone then we’re the most superficial people on earth. I’d rather have a guy take a drink of water than be a crack-and-pot-head like Obama. Give me a break!

They tried to attack Palin over a bendy straw for her drink of water.

Did’nt you get the memo? It is a career ender only if you are a republican. If you are a democrat, having sex with under age prostitutes is no biggie.

So very true.. Did four Americans die (Benghazi) because narcissistic and selfish Rubio (Obama) was preoccupied with his glass of water (re-election)?

Face it, the Media is Evil. There is nothing any conservative can't do that will not be a "career ender", and there is nothing any liberal can do that disqualifies them. Liberalism is not stupid, it is EVIL.
