They did try to shut it down last night but my feed came back just in time to hear the whole thing go down. They also tried to make everyone stop ‘tweeting’. We might ought to start re learning some of the old technology to communicate again before the SHTF and Obama hits the kill switch on the Internet.
Well, I was talking about real scanners (not those audio feeds via the Internet), such as the ones you can listen ‘live’ with analog or digital/trunked systems.
Obviously those are only useful within the respective system range, but I know there was talk to prevent people to use them, mostly mobile, except for law enforcement or media... good thing I am set!
Glad you are set too....lol. I obviously need to work on my set up some more with an attempt to bypass the Internet.
Eventually, you won't be able to hear anything on your scanners.
Some of us have the codes. Problem is, they do change and we eventually die.

True, but some cops are so ignorant that they fail to realize that their coded squelch transmission has no effect on a receiver that has coding turned off.

My issue is how he got dead.
We have a President that grants himself the power to kill Americans by putting them on a “kill list”.
We have the LAPD granting itself the right to call for and follow through with a summary execution of an American.
In both cases “authorities” are deciding when the right of due process can be revoked.
I believe we are seeing the same danger signs here.
That is interesting because I see the left giving the Obama loving cop killer the real support on social media. All the questions I have seen from the right are about process.

I pray so and also agree on your second point. Not sure if you read my post about listening to the whole thing on the scanner yesterday, but I can’t help but be disturbed by it all. Even my sweet hubby and I had some disagreements over it, but he did understand my point at least...lol. I can see both sides, but shiver to think that burning down private property would be a police force’s plan A in any matter.

In that case, the Marines swept a house that gunfire was coming from as a roadside bomb killed their own, they risked their lives sweeping the house room to room saving the supposed innocents in the house and killed the guilty. One of the "innocents" from inside the house protested to a media embed following the unit and caused the Marines about 6 years in the slammer awaiting trial
Excellent points on the domestic rules of engagement. Obama put tougher ROE on our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq to protect the homes where known AQ and Taliban were shooting from.

The reports of shots fired ‘from the house’ came within seconds of reports of ammo exploding from fire. So those reports could have been ammo exploding from fire and not shots fired.
Media also passed along that the police wanted everyone to ‘stop tweeting’...lol...like Dorner was sitting around reading twitter...LoL. The nutter cop killer was holed up in the house with near about 2000 cops bearing down on him. I doubt he had time to check Twitter. He was also probably hit earlier in the street shoot out because I also heard reports of blood in house and some concern about something by the door when the armored vehicle began tearing down the walls of the cabin.
