Yeah, this guy is a Grade-A moron. Calling in a bomb threat to his school is as far as I'm concerned more reprehensible than the video of the 16-year old he was banging. And then, he should've known better. It's not like prosecuting these cell phone crimes is a new phenomenon. It's been going on for the last decade or so.
His future earning potential is now limited by being a sex offender? No, they're limited by him being an idiot.

Judges here (Silicon Valley, CA) make it crystal clear that the will not tolerate any of this jury nullification nonsense in their courts.

Yes, I understand that as far as federal law is concerned there is no difference between naked photos of a 4-year old and naked photos of someone who is 17 years, 364 days. Now I'm not saying that porn of minors should ever be legal but, c'mon, photos of some 16-year old high school strumpet in no way, shape or form equates to the sexual exploitation of children.
Do we really need to fill up sex offender databases with this kind of stuff at the risk that true sexual predators and true pedophiles slip through the cracks?

It really wasn’t “kidde porn,” it was a family video, a memento. It was not circulated or sold.

A juror cannot be held in contempt for voting their consience.
He deserves to be on the list just for being so STUPID, as to record “the event”.
I have no sympathy for him at all.
