Marco Rubio’s softening stance toward immigration reform boils down to his mom, a new profile of the fast-rising Florida senator reveals.

“Don’t mess with the immigrants, my son,” Oriales Garcia Rubio told her youngest son during a Dec. 21 phone call, Time magazine reports. Illegal immigrants, she said, are “human beings just like us, and they came for the same reasons we came. To work. To improve their lives.”

Rubio took his mother’s words to heart, and says they are shaping his work on immigration.

“I have to balance that humanity with reality,” he said. “We have immigration laws. They have to be followed. But yeah, she reminded me that there’s a human element to this as well. As a policymaker, you have to strike a balance.” …

Hmm. What are prisons filled with? Humans, not demons or aliens. Human beings, but not “just like us”. If Rubio is using his mother as an excuse, then that makes his about-face even more vile.

Yes, they are human beings just like us. And they have homes. Their home countries have immigration laws just like we do. They don’t let just anyone cross over and take up residence at will either. They understand that immigrants to their countries have to follow the law, and its silly to imagine it should be different here.

The mother of a U.S. Senator advocating his son ignore his oath of office - and he does. He might as well be a ‘rat.

So, Rubio’s mom told him this, before or after, she told him that they didn’t flee Castro and Communism....but fled Batista and Capitalism?

Only Liberals and Fools consider Rubio a conservative. He is an Open Border/Pro-Illegal/Anti-American

If we were just like them, we’d be emigrating illegally to their land, though.

Gotta say that Calderon (the hypocrite) was just like the “evil righties” here, i.e. in building a border fence between Mexico and Guatemala . . . yet comes to the USA and criticizes our “low” in regards to illegals coming into the USA from Mexico.

One of the great success stories of the United Nations has been the regularization of refugee relief process so that we don't end up with millions of STATELESS people like we did at the end of WWII.

I have no idea why there are these illegal alien advocates who are so blind to the fact these people have citizenship and a right to be returned to their country of origin.

It's time to go!

The greater good on behalf of the next tens of millions of refugees from the next great war or natural disaster demands this be done ~ else all that good well on which those future refugees need to temporarily depend just won't be there and they will needlessly suffer and die.

This is right out of the Romney play book such as when he said his mother was the reason he was pro-abortion.

The truth is Rubio has always been pro amnesty. He’s been for giveaways to foreigners for so long, his mother must have changed his mind when he was a baby.

What a bunch of BS!!! He's been heavy into wanting to run for president in 2016.

Sorry - we already elected a Bozo. We need a strong Conservative who can man up & bring this country back to greatness.

Just being hispanic - with no core values does NOT cut it!!!

Our problems started with the 1965 Immigration Act. We have allowed Cubans in their rafts for years. Then we allowed certain types who fought with us, and; in general, we allowed ourselves to let the sociologists to play their PC MC games. Our current problems in our immigration policy are tied to the left’s social and political goals. We let South Viets in and denied Montagnards who pulled their weight. We have allowed fools to be administrators.

And to hell with American citizens and their children, son. Let them pay for the illegal immigrants because... well just because.

And this is why the president of the US should be born on US soil to two American citizens. There must be NO conflict of interest or split allegiances!

Marco. Here's the deal.

We can be a nation of laws, or a nation of demagogues.

You can only choose one.

You can't have it both ways.

I’ve been wary of him for a long time. As far as I’m concerned, he is now toast.

Hardly anyone makes mention of this, but for some reason or another, Marco Rubio's mother (and late father) became a naturalized US citizen years after she was eligible to do so. That delay, in retrospect, cost her son the opportunity to be constitutionally qualified for the presidency or vice presidency of the United States.

According to documents posted by others here on PR, Marco Rubio's parents were not American citizens at the time of his birth. Therefore, the senator was not a Natural Born Citizen according to the Vattel definition, although he is certainly a native-born citizen.

Nothing personal against Rubio here; he's been a good senator and he is constitutionally qualified for that position. But if he attempts a run for the presidency, you can bet that he'll face a constitutional legal challenge.

Rubio slid into office with Tea Party support and now he is the RINO joy boy for next time. The RINOs are probably salivatiing over the fact that dems and courts gave Obama a free pass over the natural born thing because now they don't have to worry so much about Rubio's birth coming four years before mama and papa were naturalized.

And, speaking of mama, it's good to learn that he is not only a false flag conserative but a mama's boy (wussie) as well.
Hey: My mother was thrilled to have her photo taken with Bill Clinton but, while I was glad he didn't hit on her, I didn't decide to support the SOB because she said so.

Check out “A House of Cards” on Netflix if you want to see what all the Washington politicians are really like.
