Poll wording matters - Of likely voters, 53 percent indicated that they would be more likely to support a political party that supports enforcing immigration laws versus only 32 percent who said they would be more likely to support a party that supports legalization.

This Tea Party Sentiment voter will not stand for it. The GOP can suck it if he's what they have to offer as a savior. I don't giver a rat's patooty about some illegal invader's dream, nor do I care what their legal hispanic brothers and sisters here want with respect to them.
If the GOP does this, I'll be goddamned if I ever vote for one again....they can relegate themselves to second-place ignominy against the corrupt Democrats.
And the only real solution to this problem.

My thoughts after working for the IL Dept. of Public Aid as a consultant for many years and living in FL for a few years afterward.
Given a choice, I’d prefer the illegals went home and did it the right way. Had an employee in FL who did that and he hated the illegals for not doing it like he did. But...the work ethic I saw in FL by most of the illegals was far superior to that shown by the eaters on Public Aid. Assuming they had one, of course. Government procreation is not a job. So, I’m not positive it’s the illegals that need to go. It’s the eaters, some of whom are illegals but the bulk of whom are generational eaters born and bred on the dole.

I completely agree with your observation about the work ethic of immigrants.
My objection is completely political and economic in nature.
First generation Hispanics vote 80% for the Democrat Party.
Fourth generation Hispanics vote 60% for the Democrat Party.
Mass legal immigration - 13 million just in the last 10 years - means the political destruction of American Conservatism.
Add in Amnesty for the current 11 million illegals, and the Democrat Party will take PERMANENT control of the federal government and Supreme Court.
When Reagan ran in 1980, 83% of voters were white.
Today, 63% of voters are white.
Most Conservatives are stunned when they are told that Ronald Reagan would have LOST the 1980 election if the USA racial percentages were the same as 2012.
Most Conservatives are stunned when they are told that Bob Dole would have WON the 1996 election against Clinton if the racial percentages were the same as 1980.
As to economics....
70% of current LEGAL immigrants have limited skills and limited education.
America is IMPORTING millions of these people at exactly the same moment that low skill wages are being crushed and low skill jobs are disappearing from every economy in the world.
Politically and economically, American Conservatives must find some way to STOP this immigration catastrophe.
YOu cannot cut entitlement programs unless you kick the illegals out of the country and let the former entitlement program people take those jobs. All the regulations about work and mininmum wage need to be repealed.
There is nothing like hunger to motivate people.
