Connecticut State's Attorney Stephen Sedensky has argued that unsealing warrants in the Sandy Hook case might "seriously jeopardize" the investigation by disclosing information known only to other "potential suspects." Sedensky said that unsealing the warrants would also: ""identify persons cooperating with the investigation, thus possibly jeopardizing their personal safety and well-being." "

Either this guy is seriously paranoid, or there’s something about the whole Sandy Hook disaster that we’re not being told.

Hmmmmm.....

What suspects??? Sounds like this is a cover-up. Did a rifle kill anyone at the scene? Inquiring minds want to know.

The question is: “True facts, or standard boiler-plate?”

It’s hard to believe anyone other than Crazy Adam was involved. But if they were, this is what the authorities would say. On the other hand, maybe they say this no matter what.

I can understand that policy as a bureaucrat’s default. But, in a high-profile case like this, don’t you think that something more personalized, from whoever is running the investigation, should be made?

I’m no authority on legal process but the shooter and his mom are dead. Who else has been implicated? Are they going after whoever sold mom the guns?

seriously, how can anyone be so dense

video tape the statements going over all evidence... names, dates, locations, details...

fedex copies of the video to 100 news agencies in the US and overseas (from numerous different fedex locations)

place copies of the video in various libraries (in the old stacks)

then upload the whole thing as 100 different torrents to various torrent sites around the world.

finally, pay a spamming company to push your torrent link under the most responded to banner (ie: britney spears porn, or some such crap). this will result in 100s of thousands of people spreading the torrent

the information would not be lost... even if the most powerful group in the US wanted it to disappear (ie: the american democratic party and the progressives of america)

What bothers me the most is the assumption that many FReepers make that any information must be released as soon as possible (with the corollary that, if it is not, it is evidence of a conspiracy).

It's a criminal investigation, for cripe's sake.

This is the event that the left hopes to use to end the 2nd Ammendment as we now understand it. They can allow no details out that might alter the official narrative before decisive political action has been taken.

You’re correct. A criminal investigation, one that is thorough, takes time to conduct.

EMS workers were told to stand down.

It is common in scenes such as this to have EMS hold off until the Scene is cleared.

However, they told the EMS workers to stand down.

If my kid had been killed, and his face wasn’t totally blown off, then I would want to know if an EMS worker could have saved his life . No pulse people can be brought back to life. If the sole shooter just killed himself why not bring in the EMS????

It’s also rather ironic that, some would prefer that the authorities accidentally scuttle a conspiracy case, in order to quell the feeling that there was a conspiracy.

What bothers me the most is the assumption that many FReepers make that any information must be released as soon as possible (with the corollary that, if it is not, it is evidence of a conspiracy).

Which is why it is so great that after any trial, or long after the incident, that evidence is available to the public.

For example: JFK's Death, Ron Brown's Death, Vince Foster's Death, Why Bin Laden was dumped off the ship while the Media claimed it was 'normal' Islamic tradition to do so, Waco, the TWA Flight 800 crash, The Oklahoma City Federal Building Explosion, etc, etc, etc.

It's a criminal investigation, for cripe's sake.

I agree. If that is still the case, holding back info is fine with me.

My problem was that the statement was so vague that it was meaningless. Either tell me, "there are still leads," or "we really can't talk about an unclosed investigation one way or the other." And, if it's a high-profile case, reassure the public by having someone of rank concerned with the investigation say so.

Otherwise, a comment like that is just more bureaucratic babble to be drowned out rather than listened to. It's background government "Mu-zak."

More than likely, they don’t want the drug data to change the focus from the gun data.

Sorting through your list, of the cases you cite that resulted in criminal investigations, the evidence was presented in court. Of all the others, you are just blowing smoke.

""identify persons cooperating with the investigation, thus possibly jeopardizing their personal safety and well-being."

As it should be. ANYONE with prior knowledge of this horrible crime and did NOTHING to stop it SHOULD be harmed (see my tagline for explanation)

It is time to stop harboring criminals, personally involved or whom had prior knowledge to the crime and therefore could have prevented it.
