Flash Mob Mayhem: Violent Groups Of Teens Leave NYC Businesses In Ruins
CBS New York ^ | Feb 4, 2013 | Staff

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Violent, thieving mobs have been making headlines across the country for the past few years, and now they have hit New York City.

And Maurice Dubois reported in this CBS 2 investigation, the teen mobs have left neighborhoods worried as businesses take matters into their own hands.

Judson Bennett, 78, recently ran into a violent group of teens – often described with the once-benign term “flash mob” – as he made his daily trip to buy a newspaper at his favorite news team.

“I’m approaching the newsstand, and then suddenly there is a tremendous force behind me,” Bennett said.

Bennett ended up with a broken arm.

“I was taken completely by surprise,” he said.

In New York and across the country, the mobs of kids – 20, 30, 40 or more — appear out of nowhere and suddenly charge a newsstand or convenience store.

They ransack, steal and wreak havoc with no consideration for customers, such as Bennett, who get in their way.

“They assemble, they do whatever it is that they’re going to do, and then they disassemble in a matter of minutes,” said Jon Shane, assistant professor of criminal justice at John Jay College. “By the time somebody recognizes what is happening or is injured, if the police are able to respond, it’s slow.”

I hate that I can agree with you, but I do, in every word. The Supreme Court (Roberts) and now the House were the last means of holding the line through the ballot and the law. If there’s any more chance left now to do so, it will be by other means. I don’t have a lot of faith in that either, or Hussein wouldn’t have been re-elected.

The difference is, law-abiding whites won’t defend white criminals. Blacks defend black criminals, take “no snitchin’” as their mantra, and try to protect black criminals by marching, blaming whites and “raycism”, and having the full protection of the media (not to mention courts that tread lightly with them). And twisting the whole idea of “civil rights” to favor black criminals.

Your post well taken and I understand that there is much I do not know about the "culture" even yet. One could hope that surely some older black leaders could start in on old fashioned commonsense. These older persons have to be out there.

I also meant to say about the tactic of issuing warrants is that to deliberately hold back on an arrest. Let them laugh and sneer for a month, then indicate that the moment you step into view, you will be arrested. It just might intimidate them somewhat.

The oldest ones of which I’m aware-Jackson, Sharpton, from the “Civil Rights” era-are the very ones who lead this nonsense. Even in their old age, they have not stepped aside for other black leaders, and won’t have groomed any to be better than they are, because they’ve been in it for their own power and ambition for so long now.

Liberalism is bad. Further, it is antithetical to mans God given Free Choice.

The divorce/cohabitation regime works better for some classes than others, until someone like Lanza or Holmes comes along.

Here’s to hoping these diverse urban trash increase these attacks on the leftists that empower them. It will take time, but the moron voter will eventually figure it out.

What will happen is the government will put in place more limitations, or loss of freedom on law abiding citizens. Same as they are doing on gun control. If there is a big enough outcry over flash mobs, they will react by installing cameras on every block, at a minimum. Of course the authorities will only react to something caught on camera that is easily handled, like jaywalking. Flash mob sighted will be a slower response, or any large gatherings cannot be acted upon based on profiling, until the mob is in action.

That's probably correct, plus we will have fewer stands and other businesses, goods behind barriers and panic button type defenses. Civilization will continue to degrade.

His 1st mistake...buying a newspaper. Now that he has established buying a newspaper can be a death warrant, we should ban all newspapers.

Shoot the little bastards on sight.

But only seven at a time before reloading - according to Gov Cuomo. You'll just have to tell the other 23 to wait a minute.

I like your idea, only in my version you crank out a few hundred rounds of 7.62x39 from 75 round drums. The surviving feral yutes are "marked" with blood from the non-surviving members of the violent pack.

Violent packs of animals should be dealt with superior firepower. It makes "retaliation" less likely when they soon realize there are exponentially less feral animals.

Plus it stimulates the teddy bear and candle business when they turn telephone poles outside into shrines.
