Ted Cruz uses pistol grip to rebut call for assault weapon ban

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz displayed a flair for showmanship this afternoon at the Senate’s gun violence hearing as he sought to puncture the argument for a proposed ban on assault weapons.

“What it bans, I would suggest to you, are scary looking guns,” he said.

With a life size photo of a Remington 750, a popular hunting rifle used — as Cruz said, by millions of Americans – the senator argued that the proposed ban focuses on “cosmetic features” such as pistol grips that in no way change the lethality of a weapon.

He produced a plastic pistol grip and held it to the photo to demonstrate...

Feinswine, Barack the Destroyer, Box o' Rocks et. al may not understand firearms but they do understand the Second Amendment.

They're trying, willfully, and with malice aforethought to eliminate the Second Amendment. Illegally.

Cruz unabashedly exposing liberal pretzel logic again. Anyone think that Dewhurst would be standing there doing this instead? We need more Cruz’s to support and defend the Constitution.

It’s good that he’s exposing the idiocy of their arguments.

But, the next step needs to be taken - sweep aside their “front” arguments and address their “end game”,

and tell them “No, we will not allow any steps toward your end goal to be taken. It stops here.”
