It seems those Occupy Wall Streeters were a lot closer to the 1 percent than they would like to admit.
A new study of the OWS movement in New York found that many of the protesters were highly educated and not nearly as down on their luck as they portrayed.
A third of protesters in the Occupy Wall Street movement in New York lived in households earning more than $100,000 and more than two- thirds were employed professionals, according to the study from CUNYs Joseph A. Murphy Institute for Worker Education and Labor Studies.
The study also showed the movement was mostly organized by experienced political operatives and nearly all of those involved 76 percent were college educated.

Red diaper doper babies.
Nothing liberals do is real and not hypocritical.
When I looked at the official statistics from the government on income... I was SHOCKED to discover that I was in the top 3% of all income earners. I knew I was better off than most in my area, but ... with places like New York and California and their sky high salaries I didn't imagine in a million years I was that much wealthier.
#2 Where was this damning information about this "spontaneous protest" a year and a half ago, when it might have been relevant and/or changed the way this "movement" was viewed? Not that most thinking people didn't see it for what it was: a self-serving, self-important pack of rich, white, wannabe hippies (with some 60's retreads and ACORN agitators thrown in for flavor), with no clear purpose or point.
CPUSA members, I’ll bet.
Yea.... I've had a similar experience. But, I'm pretty sure we're NOT in the top 3% of the "wealthiest" people... just "income earners". The truly wealthy don't have much "earned income"... their money all comes from dividend and capital gains.
So, knock yourself down another 5-6%.
I'm also quite sure, a BUNCH of people are grossly under-reporting their income. Go figure. After 80 years of taxing INCOME, people have figured out how to get compensated in "other" ways, or "non-traceable" ways.
One of the spokesclowns of OWS was recently fired by the NYC School Dept for forging signatures on his time sheet. This clown appeared on Colbert’s show once with that “female bodied person” named “Ketchup” (that’s what she called herself and the way she described herself).
Teenagers are young enough to know everything.
Great example being a kid that Michael Medved had on his show.
Ivy League educated, instead of using his prestigious degree to try and earn a living he was spending his time trying to organize NYC Starbucks baristas for the Wobblies.
Breitbart said all this and more in his documentary.
Good thing CUNY finally caught up with him.
These trust-fund babies are just following the pattern set by their clueless Marxist parents, who protested the war in Viet Nam and corporations in the ‘60s. They have no values other than feeling “relevant,” as they challenge The Man.
Of course, they will go on to be employed by law firms and lobbying groups at astronomical salaries as their parents did, but they’ll always have warm memories of their youthful, protesting days to make them seem “special” and “edgy.”
If the Lord is merciful, they will not reproduce.
So, you are part of the PROBLEM! < /sarc >
“76 percent were college [indoctrinated].”

Do you think the communist/progressive media that are in the tank for Obama would have reported it anyway. Not on your life. The screwed up media only gives negative reports on Teabaggers, Rush and Fox News. In the end, I hope the liberal media is amply punished for their abuse of power and reporting to the American people.
Well, as you can see, the elite educations did not prevent them from acting like animals...raping women, having sex in broad daylight, defecating on police cars, and living worse than pigs. Not to mention the graffiti, filth, etc. It shows that an elite education does nothing to change one’s heart to be God-fearing or loving of one’s fellow man.
Where did they find the time? Oh Yeah, they were all employed by the Government or with Gov't money in some form - teachers, social workers, university staff, hospital workers, public employees, unions. ALL don't need to worry about being paid, all will be given time off for public agitation and demonstration organized by their bosses, and all are part of the new "Government Party."
that OWS clown was Justin Wedes and you want to know where he is now? Check his recent tweet:

In my suitcase to Sao Paulo: 50 @OccupiedWSJ's, 2 swimsuits, 20 @StrikeDebt Resistance Manuals, 5 @OccupySandy patches.
Just like all the protests and “Happenings” back in the Hippy days.
An excuse for spoiled brats to goof off, hustle some free sex, and rant against the Man or The Machine or the ogre of the day.
I’ve been saying the same thing!
My kids’ kindergarten teacher retired last year with a Gov’t $80,000 pension.
Given today’s zero interest-rate policy from our Federal Reserve, that makes the net present value of that pension worth how much? $5 million?
Instant millionaire!
Was that before or after taxes?
I hope their parents have enough money to sustain them when they try to get jobs in 4 years. And, I hope they weren't counting on that gigantic inheritance they were going to get because Uncle Obama will be pocketing a huge chunk among other things. After the taste of Marxism has touched their palates, I think they will be seeing things differently or at least I hope so.
But which companies “employ” people who spend weeks on end sleeping in the park? And why would they?
Little wonder we’re slipping back into recession.

It really pains me to go to Austin these days, I remember it when it was a lovely city. So sad.
Because it’s what the experienced political operatives tell them.
yes, there is a vast difference between wealth and income.
Nobody knows or has any way of tracking the wealth of Americans though, so there’s no way to compare wealth.
Income is the only thing that is tracked, and income includes income from all sources not just a salary. The income numbers are also for a household and not an individual. But it’s still hard for me to grasp that a family making $240,000 a year is making more income than 97% of all Americans.
I bet this will be the lead story on all the alphabet networks’ news tonight. Excuse me, I just felt an uncontrollable laughing fit coming on.

Actually, at the time there were many articles on FR detailing how the OWSers started. It was started by leftists connected with Axelrod, for the purpose of creating disruptions and gaining mass numbers, and they hoped to provoke violence. They failed in all regards. It was directly connected with the freaking communist bastards in the WH.
