Marco Rubio's tough talk to Rush Limbaugh yesterday about no immigration deal being done unless certain language on border security, etc. is included? Ignore it. Just Rubio taking care of his conservative base—and saving face. In the end, Rubio will likely give Obama his vote on immigration reform. It's all about finding an out for Republicans when it comes to winning back a decent share of the Latino vote. And conservatives will be willing to take the deal.
Such was the collective wisdom of Morning Joe today, as enunciated by Jon Meacham and seconded by Joe Scarborough.

I don’t trust Rubio.
First, I believe Rubio is sincere.
My question is what happens when the plan is approved to secure the border, before anybody is placed on “the path to citizenship”?
Obama ignores the border security, but initiates “the path”.
How do we stop him?
Even if the “language is included,” it doesn’t mean they’ll actually do it.
I believe the GOP will shut up, roll over, and that will be that. The Dems continue continue to rub our noses in their steaming pile. If we give everyone a work visa (amnesty), then we won’t need border security. Why pretend. Swallow.
The base has been played for suckers since 2004. Tell us something we don’t know, Morning Joe.
Rubio is playing the game.

The melting pot vs. cultural mosaic format must be debated directly in Congress so that the people WILL know the issue: IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE A PATRIOTIC AMERICAN, LOYAL TO THE CONSTITUTION AND TO THE REPUBLIC, THEN LEAVE THIS PLACE, you have no business here and neither does reconquista.
WE MUST RETURN to the melting pot model, and if people want to keep theior ancestral culture, let them do so freely and privately at home in their own places and privately funded institutions. The trouble is, Rubio is either so naive that he doesn’t realize the others in the ‘gang’ are playing him like a fiddle, or he is in on the dipsy-doodle shellgame administrationS [plural, includes Dem and Pubbie] and Congress [includes Dem and Pubbie] have been playing for decades.
The problem with Rubio’s proposal is the same with every proposal/bill since the 1965 — border security enforcement is included, but enforcement is not made mandatory. Any ‘measure’ of determining border security is subjective and left up to — politicians.
Rubio basically said he ‘hoped Obama would enforce border security’ if this new bill is made law.
Ironically, Obama was in Las Vegas about the same time making an immigration speech, and he basically said current enforcement is adequate.
Secondly, how would importing millions of less educated persons help our economy and nation?
The list is endless, and yet people still trust these politicians? Especially someone like Rubio, who comes from the Bush wing of the GOP. Hahahahahaha.

Before 2004, Reagan was hood-winked by Tip O’Neil, thought he was making a deal between two old Irishmen and he (Reagan) thought his (O’Neil) word was good. Well, Reagan soon found out that Tip was lying and had no intention of keeping his word and he didn’t. The old proverb “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me” should be remembered as the Democrats will lie again and will not keep any promises made about border security. So, I say, secure our border first and then we can talk about the other stuff. End of subject.....
I wish I could hope Rubio had something clever up his sleeve to thwart Obama's plan to globalize the American people, but according to past statements he's made about the GOP base I'm afraid I don't believe it.

I agree- I would like it wrote in the bill that they have a means to suport themselves financially, a relative signs a form saying they will support them, and they are not entitled to GOVERNMENT BENEFITS. No SSI, NO SSDI.....

Obama/Holder/Napolitano will ensure there will be no enforcement of border security, and the liberal courts will overturn any restrictions and rule that the illegals will be entitled to all forms of welfare and voting. A wave of 25 million new Dem votes. Texas will become a blue-state, and America permanently becomes a one-party nation. It will render every political issue, every election moot. Well since 99% will be in that bottom 47% of voters (increasing it to 53% eventually) I assume that means they file for their accumulated tax credit $$$ that the Feds pay them for all the years they were living here illegally, that is what they mean by 'pay their taxes'
A real plan would demand that they pay a certain level of taxes say like a single does who earns 60K per year with no deductions (and earn the income at those levels) for say 5 years or no permanent green card..
