I've got a simple idea: Let's give up on the Constitution.
I know, it sounds radical, but it's really not. Constitutional disobedience is as American as apple pie.
For example, most of our greatest Presidents -- Jefferson, Lincoln, Wilson, and both Roosevelts -- had doubts about the Constitution, and many of them disobeyed it when it got in their way.
To be clear, I don't think we should give up on everything in the Constitution. The Constitution has many important and inspiring provisions, but we should obey these because they are important and inspiring, not because a bunch of people who are now long-dead favored them two centuries ago.
Unfortunately, the Constitution also contains some provisions that are not so inspiring. For example, one allows a presidential candidate who is rejected by a majority of the American people to assume office. Suppose that Barack Obama really wasn't a natural-born citizen. So what?

If I didn’t know CBS was a responsible and respected news outlet I’d suspect they were taunting us.
The constitution has an amendment provision. If the profession thinks we are better off without certain provisions of the document then he is welcome to try and convince enough to amend it.
Well its not like they don’t all know the guy is ineligible. I’m sure every one of our illustrious 535 elected legislators and 9 Supreme Court Justices also know it.

We would have to create a new national capital though, I am thinking somehwere in Texas or Montana.

SUNDAY MORNING is an excellent show which I usually watch with my wife, and we record it for later viewing which is usually the way we see it. Yesterday’s show is on our DVR list, but I haven’t seen it yet. I will now. You didn’t give
much info on who or what was said specifically, but I never noticed that show to have ANY political bias, or deal with those subjects at all.
Yeah, but that amendment process is part of the “fixed” set of rules that the leftist elite don’t want to abide by in the first place,
so they reject that out of hand.
Much better if they are simply empowered to make their arbitrary decisions based on their superior intellectual and moral standing.
It's not surprising that a law professor from an elitist establishment university is anti-American. These elitists hold a view that is more popular and mainstream with every passing election. I'm sure he believes the Constitution is impeding Obama's needed "progress".
The very facts of BHO's presidency are themselves the greatest argument in favor of requiring loyalty as a condition of presidential candidacy. But now what? If we as a nation are willing to overlook one inconvenient part of the Constitution, then why isn't it acceptable to overlook other unpopular provisions? Their boldness to make such a treasonous appeal is bolstered by the current gun debate.
Our weak Republican leaders are grooming a non-NBC candidate of their own for the office -- neither of his parents were citizens at the time of his birth. Now he's advancing "immigration reform". You know who he is.

Take away their “programs” (in the case of sheeperals)
and their ability to meddle/control other people’s lives (in the case of the elitists)
and they’ll voluntarily emigrate.
That is so when Obama uses an Executive Order to outlaw guns, they can claim the Constitution is all wrong and washed up and Obama is right because he cares.

The only thing that gives the government any legitimate athority is the constitution. Without the constitution, and the whole constitution then there isn’t a legitimate government and all orders, regulations, taxes, and laws can be legally ignored. Sure there would be ramifications as I’m sure the usurpers wouldn’t willingly give up power, but let it be said here and now, that a large percentage of Americans would see them as the usurpers they are and act accordingly.

My wife and I were watching this commentary. It was one of those rare times that my wife will vocally respond to a TV report of any kind and we were both in total agreement that the guy was a flippin’ moron. On that basis, I’d say he is blissfully unaware of how the Consitution works or its relationship on his ability to spew such tripe.
Given his comments on the founders and writers of the Constitution and not being tied to what these men wrote, I’d say he’s cemented his moron status for all time. I don’t see anybody of equivalent wisdom on the scene today that would compare to the Founders.
The “natural born Citizen” clause was put there for national security and preservation of the republic, purposes. Didn’t make sense then, nor now, to have a Chief Executive Officer (President) and Commander in Chief of the armed forces who was born with foreign citizenship and thus foreign allegiance owed.
Well there are some laws I don't like and some that I do ...maybe picking and choosing which ones to use on a personal basis would "inspire" the non productive masses. The same could be said for the Ten Commandments, I suppose.

The REAL question should have been: “What difference does it make?,” as in the illustrious words of Hillary Clinton.
I HOPE that the writer was TRYING to get a response, to start making the case that Obama/Soetoro/Sutoro/Soebarkah/Bounel is NOT elligible, nor are Rubio, Jindal, Santorum, McCain, and Ted Cruz-—all of whom I like, except for McCain.
