Wow. I figured they would have to carry the old communist out of the Senate feet first.

If you went out to find Senators who retired in the 1980s...I suspect most would say the current environment is toxic and stressful. In the 1930s and 1940s....if you were a Senator...you’d take most afternoons off in the summer and attend baseball games. You might have put twelve hours of work in...in a normal week. Today? You get dragged out to do interviews with various news media groups and I doubt if you get more than six hours of sleep a night during the week.

Cry me a river. These individuals who become senators are very wealthy and usually corrupt on many levels. Maybe they’ll work themselves to death and do all of us a favor.

Those Iowa boys got plenty of guns. Must be he doesn’t want to be blamed when the storm troopers start “live fire” exercises. He’s gonna go hide when TSHTF

Dang. Didn’t show up in search.

Admin, could you remove this thread, please? It’s a dupe.

Thanks.

At a minimum, all Democrat office holders should be expected to leave public office when their age exceeds their IQ - I’m glad to see Harkin at least is observing that dictum.

It will be good riddance but however, how much worse will the replacement be if a democrat. Look at what was Ted Kennedy’s seat. Now Liz Warren, the fake American Indian who IMHO will be much more worse than Teddy boy.

FR has a search?

I used to use google + FreeRepublic + the article. That doesn’t work anymore either.

Who is the youngest yet most Tea party right state rep or state senator that we can get behind on FR right now, today? I’m in Texas and I am willing to send money today to a tea party candidate that an Iowa tea party recommends.
