Not everyone will have to abide by Senator Dianne Feinstein's gun control bill. If the proposed legislation becomes law, government officials and others will be exempt.
"Mrs. Feinstein's measure would exempt more than 2,200 types of hunting and sporting rifles; guns manually operated by bolt, pump, lever or slide action; and weapons used by government officials, law enforcement and retired law enforcement personnel," the Washington Times reports.

My best guess as to why this was included is because most state, local and fed officers all have significant personal owned weapons themselves and are just as concerned about loosing them as we are.
This is an effort to encourage current LEOs to enforce the new restrictions because they have no incentive to do so if it will mean loosing their own guns.
I am a retired LEO and I do not think I have anymore rights than an average citizen. This is the standard dem playbook. Divide and concur, divide the law abiding citizens from the LEOs and military. Because if they are united against government tyranny the Marxists can not achieve their goals.

Seriously, any politician should be STRUNG UP for EVEN INTRODUCING a bill that imposes onerous restrictions on citizens while exempting government officials.
Look for the move towards promoting the “oathkeepers” oath for LEOs who are working at this time with the current military.
It’s the “unwashed masses” that they’re afraid of...not themselves. It speaks volumes to their true intent.
Anyone that complies with this law is an outright fool.

Not surprised that Holder explicitly supports brainwashing as a tactic to support anti-gun initiatives. The government and its allies in the media, entertainment industry and education system have already brainwashed our kids into thinking the world is going to burn up or sink under the waves if we keep emitting CO2, and that buggery is no big deal. When you control schools, media and popular culture, brainwashing is not that difficult.

Wouldn’t it be great for some patriotic Senator to get up in the Senate and read Patrick Henry’s speech, word for word, without attribution. The gasps and shouts would come hard and fast, not least because very few of those politicians will recognize the words of one of America’s founders. It’s time for America to return to its roots. And one effective way of doing so is to educate Americans by quoting the Founders at every opportunity.

The fallacy in your statement is that any weapons would be otherwise prohibited. The 2A is there to insure the populace i as well, or better, armed than government forces.
Further, when the 2A was written people were expected to protect and care for themselves...........in all actuality this is still true today as the police are under no duty to protect you. Even while they are in uniform, on duty, armed, and the crime is being committed in front of them. They are under ZERO obligation to come to your aid.

Perhaps, and I do not know it will be what is to happen, but what if this time a leader of the statue of George Washington comes from and in the form of a woman? A woman, with a voice for all Americans, who holds the Constitution in the highest regard and is willing to raise her voice to instruct in and harmonize with the document of our nation's Founders. Women have the most to lose in a society that is unarmed. Women are the most vulnerable to one holding a weapon on a woman when that woman has no weapon of her own or those persons closest to her could not protect her because they too have been disarmed. Men are vulnerable too. But the key is perhaps a woman of Faith and a woman who holds this nation and this nation's Constitution in the same regard as a man. Men have been demonized to the point of perhaps no man could gain the trust of the American people because of demonizing done by the left wing and the lame-stream media. What if there was a woman who would and could and did? What if there was a woman the left wing and the lame-stream media would attack and those attacks could be repelled and what was done was restoration of America's ideals. A dream, one may say. Yes a dream! A dream of the very ideals of what made America ... America.
