WASHINGTON, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A retooled U.S. assault-weapons ban to be introduced Thursday was to include handguns and shotguns in addition to rifles, The Washington Times reported.

The bill, by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., titled "The Assault Weapons Ban of 2013," was also expected to decrease the number of military-style features a gun may have before it's considered an assault weapon to one from two, the newspaper said.

-snip-

Feinstein's bill would also create a national gun registry for the government to track lawful gun owners, the Times said.

Magazines, or ammunition storage and feeding devices within or attached to a repeating firearm, would be limited to 10 rounds, the newspaper said.

Curiously, it’d be nice to know how many pages are inside of this...maybe 700 pages?

We have to pass bills in order to know what is in them.

Hadn't you heard?

Who do you see enforcing confiscation in large areas around the nation that oppose it almost unanimously, including the local law enforcement?

U.S. BANS IMPORTS OF ASSAULT RIFLES IN SHIFT BY BUSH

March 15, 1989

The Bush Administration today banned imports of semiautomatic assault rifles indefinitely, pending a review of whether the military-style weapons are being used for sporting purposes.

The step, announced by William J. Bennett, the director of national drug policy, is effective immediately and was taken after officials learned that requests this year from importers to bring in the weapons had already nearly tripled those for all of 1988

-snip-

But White House officials said Mr. Bush, a life member of the National Rifle Association and an opponent of gun control, shifted his position after lobbying by Mr. Bennett, by drug officials and by his wife, Barbara, who had indicated she favored a ban.

Since the Firearms Owners Protection Act is an act of Congress, another act of Congress can nullify it.

You think there will be another Congress? Wonder Boy has already proved he doesn't need them and we don't need the Constitution. SCOTUS is and will be crickets on this.

Everyone keep in mind that this intentionally egregious, offensive bill is simply cover fire for the “compromise bill” that both parties want.

We’ll see about that. The law is clear- no registration and no registration schemes. this is a federal law that has been in place for nearly 30 years. There will be consequences for any who believe we will just sit back and let them casually break this law and there will be consequences for many who choose to invalidate this law through due process.

This is great news if true.
Let Reid and O try to get that passed in Senate.

Message to weak kneed Blue Dog Dems with high NRA ratings:
You need to support your Messiah and Chief on this. Remember, your principles are more important than your Senate Seats. Now is your chance to make every child in the USA ‘feel safe’. make your mark in history for Americans children, vote for Di-fi’s gun reform safety bill. You will go down in the History books even though you may not return in 2015”

HA_HA!

So assault weapons like a Browning Challenger .22 and Savage 6B .22 would become unlawful. I feel safer already. Diane, you are a dangerous moron.

Have you ever heard of Dianne Feinstein wanting to be tough on criminals?

Has she called for 'crime control'?

Longer sentences?

Tougher judges?

NO.

Her enemy is NOT the street criminal, the murderer, the stalker... Nope, Feinstein lives in a safe place - has guards that carry guns... Nope, her enemy is the people who might vote her out of office. And that's us. She's going after conservative traditional Americans.
