'White and black don't mix'

Take one stripper with California, golden-girl looks. Lock her up for acting crazy. Ads by Google

One day later, release her into the most dangerous ghetto in Chicago – dressed only in short shorts and a bikini top. At night. Still acting crazy.

Deny her pleas for help because “white and black don’t mix.”

Then try to figure out what happened when a group of black people take her into the nearby projects, where she is raped and thrown from a seven-story building. Or went willingly – and jumped.

Put them all together and it adds up to one of the messiest, murkiest, most expensive cases of racial violence in the country.

Whatever happened, the city of Chicago agreed earlier this month to pay Christina Eilman $22.5 million in damages after her ordeal left her physically and mentally damaged.

The jury never heard about Eilman’s life as a stripper. Or from an expert witness about how the bizarre and sexual and violent behavior she displayed – first at O’Hare Airport, then while in jail – fit a pattern of methamphetamine abuse common among those in the exotic dancer trade.

The judge would not allow it.

All the jury heard about – and most news accounts followed along – is how police abandoned a then 21-year-old troubled coed who studied religion at UCLA in the housing projects of Chicago. Alone. Befuddled.

Agree completely. The judge was absolutely correct. I couldn’t care less if this woman was a druggie, on drugs at the time, whatever. What if instead of being a meth head she was mentally ill, or a 21 year old on her first bender?

Indeed, the problem with gov’t agent misconduct is that they are personally immune from civil liability for their conduct under the color of law. One of the major reforms I would enact, if I had the magic wand to do so, would be to make each individual personally liable for any malfeasance on the job.

One variation: if malfeasance results in the employer losing a civil suit, every public employee involved is fired.

Of course, what happens then is the public employees will ensure the victim does not win a civil suit, by whatever means necessary.

This is standard operating procedure in big cities. A friend’s car was stolen and when he reported it the cops came, took him to a station where the car was found, did the report and then he had to make his own way back home. The car was not driveable.

He was under the impression that they would take him back home. When he asked they said they were busy. It was a good thing he had a train card.

I wonder how the New York Times would have covered this story if a large group of white men had raped and murdered a black girl... I suspect it would be treated differently.

Sucking up to black criminals is one of the ways the white liberal elite power structure is maintained.

Eff you New York Times. And Washington Post.

“If she was using meth or anything similar then I have no sympathy with her at all. She did not deserve to be awarded all that money.”

If you weren’t so lazy you would ALREADY KNOW she was diagnosed bi-polar after a car accident, and the only “drugs” she had on her were prescription medication for her bi-polar disorder.

People like you who just “make stuff up” and then so sanctimoniously judge people based on total, unmitigated BULLSHIT, never cease to amaze.

Research first, THEN comment.

Contribute something of value for a change, instead of making crap up.

It’s my understanding that the cops who dropped her off were black and female. I don’t know if that’s true, but I read it somewhere. Second City Cop blog, perhaps (Chicago cops blog)

Someone at the police station released her from custody, didn’t they? He/she/them knew the area presumably, in which case it was reckless endangerment.

What was the race of the police person/people who put her in that danger? Was it a "brutha" thinking "let's give the bros a little entertainment tonight"? Were there more than one, and were they laughing about it?

Such thoughts are unfair to the decent minority cops; too bad they are warranted in this kind of case.

Actually, I believe someone here this morning said it was two black female cops and there were other comments about her being called “white bitch”, but my thoughts on it when I posted the comment didn’t really delve into the race aspect because whether black, white, yellow or brown, dumping this person in the middle of a dangerous neighborhood where they KNEW what would happen to her is unforgivable, no matter what the race. If I were on the jury, I’d have gone upwards of a billion dollar award.
