At least 1,000 people have gathered on the Legislative Plaza across from the Capitol building in Nashville TN to show their support for gun rights.

The "Guns Across America" rallies are being held in state capitols nationwide. Activists have promoted the rallies primarily via social media. They're being held days after President Barack Obama unveiled a sweeping package of gun-control proposals.

Many who came to the Nashville event carried signs and flags with messages like "Don't tread on me." A few also carried guns.

Republican State Rep. Joe Carr of Lascassas told the crowd that ".any assault on the Second Amendment is an attack on any amendment."

Carr has introduced a bill that would slap federal officials with a misdemeanor charge for enforcing the new proposals.

In Augusta,Maine there were over 300 in line when they opened the door.

About an hour after opening a friend and I started handing out flyers for the Feb 8th rally to those standing in line outside. We each had 200 flyers and started outside the entrance, working the line.

We ran out before we reached the halfway point of the line.

My guess. Over 2000

Crowd at the Grassy Knoll shooting range numbered in the hundreds today. ARA was well represented.

The USA Today and Ass. Press is claiming that only “hundreds” attended ALL the rallies, COMBINED. I sh*+ you not.

Going to this, tomorrow. Kids are excited. ;-) Not a ‘gun show’, so-to-speak, but a great history lesson. Know a couple of the participants.

Do you think that type of reporting has something to do with the fact that they, the MSM, are all in the bag for KING Obama the 1st and Last.

IMHO: if you want the true news, turn off the MSM and log-on to the one and only FreeRepublic.

“At least 1,000 attend gun rally in Nashville”

I can tell you for sure that the elitists are crapping in their pants.

I worked as an independent contractor with an Israeli company when the Libyans revolted against Kaddafhi. When Kaddhafi gave the order to the army to kill Libyans, more than 75 % of the army deserted. Kaddahfi and his elitists ended up dead.

This completely freaked out the elitist NWO, seeing their buddies hanging from lampposts. King Buckwheat is losing control and his mercenary secret service traitors are looking for exits.

...A few also carried guns...

Just because they weren't visible, doesn't mean they weren't there.

Yes, indeed. I watch one comedy Mr. hummingbird and I like. Otherwise, I'm on Free Republic if I really want to get the right info.
