“Hundreds” of death threats have been made against the president of the National Rifle Association just since the first of this year. And those threats reflect President Obama’s political tactics. That’s what NRA President David Keene told talk show host Ernest Istook on Thursday. Keene says those threats reflect attempts by the Left and by President Obama “to demonize and blame those who disagree with him for everything he doesn’t like.” Keene also is literally targeted by a video game that invites people to shoot him, which he calls the “Kill David Keene” game. Escalation instead of deescalation. My police friends tell me it’s very important to deescalate conflict. This administration has to be one of the worst governments in all of history the way they are handling matters.

The irony of gun-control enthusiasts making death threats against the NRA pres is just astounding. And the funniest thing behind it is that they are too ignorant to see the irony.

The results of gun registration happened in history before and it is now happening again.
What they are interested in is people control. When they say that they want to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, The "criminals" they have in mind are those who oppose them.
Once they have those that oppose them disarmed, it is a short jpurney to the "re-education" camps, a/k/a death camps. No one other than obama's mentor, idol, and advisor, the one and only William Ayers is on tape saying that at least 10% of the population must be done away with, i.e. killed. We make up that 10%.

I think I have it figured out.
Just like the term “Peace” does not mean the same thing to Communists (”absence of resistance to Socialism”) or Moslems (”submission to Islam and Sharia”), the term “Gun Violence” does not mean the same thing to Progressives that it does us.
To a conservative, “gun violence” means the criminal use of firearms against innocent victims. To a Progressive, “gun violence” means the use of firearms against THEM. That also explains the recent warning against violence by the “extreme right” that was issued by think tank associated with West Point.
So, one wonders what Progressives might be planning to do that might incite “gun violence” against them or by the “extreme right.”
Generally, if someone wants take your firearms away, they are planning to do something to you that you would those firearms to resist...

And if they come for you, what will you do if they use tear gas, flamethrowers and tanks like they did in Waco? It’s hard to see to fire a weapon if you’re blinded and choking from tear gas. So waiting for that ‘bad end’ seems a bit naive.
That’s what they’re hoping for. That Americans will wait until they come to their individual doors to collect their guns or for arrest/elimination purposes. By then it will be way too late I believe.

Thats where your cheerful neighbor across the street, looking at their backs comes in. But more better to not be fixed at home where they can finish you by the numbers. It’s much better that the people who use gas and flame throwers against peaceful gun owners, have to worry about sitting down in their favorite restaurant.
There was a nut case in Seattle not to long ago, walked into a coffee shop and murdered 3 or 4 armed and trained cops at a table before they knew what had hit them. That was a tragic day, and the criminal/mental patient who did it was not acting on some lofty principles. But would it be so tragic if it had happened to 4 NKVD agents? 4 Gestapo or SS men? 4 of Pol Pots cadres?
You dont attack a totalitarian enemy when they are arrayed against you with full equipment. You kill your 3 or 4 when they are gassing their car, or eating a donut, or sitting happily at home. Alone,, with their guard down.

I don’t remember conservatives demanding that New York, Boston and San Francisco must live the way we think they should. It’s always them coming after us.
And i agree with you that the front door will be the first point of contact,,to a point. That door to door business would last about a day or two before the word was out and everyone knew it was happening. At that point, nobody should have front door encounters.
That should be when you invite them in for coffee, helpfully explain that you gave em all your guns to your ex wife so she could sell them. Or maybe the local evil democrat politician who took them in exchange for that zoning variance you had to have. Act really sad about it. Wish them well. Be totally sincere when you say, “see you guys around town”.
To the rest of the country this area is basically all Seattle. And I agree with your assessment. The number of firearms in the hands of people who still believe in the principles this country was founded on... are still an obstacle to those who would ignore our constitution, take away our freedoms, and transform our country into a socialist nanny state. And it is exactly the tactics you mention that make freedom loving people the obstacal.
