Karl Rove enlivened Fox News Channel's election coverage last year by questioning the network's declaration that Barack Obama had been re-elected. It hasn't affected Fox's desire to keep him on the air.
The network announced Thursday that it had signed Rove to a new contract as a contributor. The deal runs through the 2016 election.

This news tells me neither Rove nor FOX learned a damn thing from the last election coverage.
Another great reason not to watch Fox. Rove, Geraldo, Hannity, Colmes, Beckel, Williams, and all of the other idiots on that network spew the same MSM propaganda as the other MSM networks. Everything you see in the MSM is a lie. Its all government propaganda spoon fed to the slaves. Burn your TV. Fox is part of the MSM.
elephant :
WHY ?
Was it illustrious accuracy in the last election ?
Would be 1000 percent better....
FOX must be on a suicide mission. Rove has zero credibility. When he comes on the tube I change it as fast as when the Kenyan pops up to stink up my screen.
He adds nothing.
A tingle just ran up Sean Hannity’s leg...
We need the Free Republic network. There should be a conservative billionaire out there who could write the check.
Agreed. What tools.
And I will not watch FOX for four more years.
Yes... but did Fox News re-up his chalkboard/grease board? (snark)
GMTA. See my post from yesterday outlining a winning primetime lineup on Fox News Channel:
Allen West
Sarah Palin
Mark Levin
Thomas Sowell
Jim Robinson
...and further advocating the immediate dismissal of the sodomite Shepard Smith, affirmative-action hire Juan Williams and the foul-mouthed Bob Beckel. And, of course, Jerry Rivers, yet another affirmative-action employee in their stable.
Rove and now Dennis “The Menace” Kucinich on Fox. Lovely. When will Conservatives have their own news network ?
Laugh of the day, thanks!
“Was it illustrious accuracy in the last election ?”
The dashing good looks, manly figure and the crushing victories against all odds in his day.
I watch no (alleged) news network.
If you need to keep a lot of sharp axes around, Rove is the one to hire.
I guess they have a vision -just like the NRC- to get rid of conservatives. If they could only get al gore on during prime time, the circus would be complete.
Hogs gone wild.
He ran blockades for the establishment against the conservatives. Flawed or nor, he should have not worked to help them versus to destroy them. We still have the crybaby speaker who caves, now this. Here it comes and all of these stories to cave on traditional marriage, cave on gun rights and cave on breaking the constitution. Fox is moving towards the dems thinking. We need a new television channel for Christians, to promote our nation’s constitution and US history; a place for patriots and conservatives. Rove has done enough damage. Libs don’t like him and now conservatives do not like him so, why sign him back. Guess, he picks the next nominee (again)
Losers deserve each other.
->>he should have not worked to help them versus to destroy them
Rove should had worked (sorry/correction) to help them
Fox is moving towards the dems thinking.

I thought it was just me thinking that FOX news is moving in that direction. I have also listened to Rush and he does not sound the same anymore....
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Oh boy! Rove and Dennis (Spaceman) Kucinich are both working for Foxnews now!
I’m all for that!!!
I was going to say that. You beat me to it. Kudos.
bobo
I’m sick of this pompous ass.
Hannity, who has made a personal hero of this backroom, deal-making leach along with the disgusting LIEberman, is on my no-watch list. O’Reilly (who really stands for nothing) has been there for some time.
Andrew Napolitano and Neil Cavuto are favored hosts.
Napolitano no longer appears on Fox(y), but should be our candidate for president.
Certainly not performance-based employment....
I don't watch Fox any more. If I want up to the minute news, I come here to FR, Drudge, Michelle Malkin, News Busters, or other online sources.
Fox needs me more than I need them
I never, ever got the fascination and admiration directed at Karl Rove. I think W suffered from his advice.
Let's see here ...
FOXNews partly owned by a Saudi roayl ...
CEO Rupert Murdoch advocates for another AWB ...
FOXNews president Roger Ailes purges Sara Palin, Glenn Beck, and Newt Gingrich from FOXNews while bringing on more and more leftist contributors to bolster their slogan "Fair and Balanced" ...
Bill O'Reilly, what else can be said about BoRe? All he wants is another softball interview with BHO.
http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=2512447n
Bill O'Reilly won't shut up
The CBS "60 Minutes" interview of Bill O'Reilly by Mike Wallace on 9/19/2007.
video run length = 11:40 minutes
Go to the 7:30 minute mark and listen. BoRe, who describes himself on "The O'Reilly Factor" as a defender of American traditional values, admits in this interview that he supports ...
1. gun control - He revealed on his show on 1/16/2013 that he wants (1) universal background checks, (2) mandatory gun registration, and (3) ban on all assault weapons.
2. repeal of the death penalty
3. civil unions for everybody
4. homosexual adoption
5. governement actions to reverse global warming
Later in the interview he claims that John Kerry is a patriot, and that the Swift Boat Veterans were very bad men in their treatment of him back in 2004.
... and let's not forget the neo-con, Dr. Charles Krauthammer ...
1. speechwriter for 1988 VP candidate Walter Mondale
2. contributor to the left-of-center political journal, The New Republic
3. supported BHO for the presidency on FOXNews during SEP-OCT 2008
4. supports gun control
Curious if any FReeper has heard if Sarah was re-signed to FNC, or how long her current contract runs.
I would love to see Mark Levin instead of Rove.
Rove sucked up and said obama’s campaign strategy was “brilliant” so he could keep his job. I regret ever shaking the phony sob’s hand.
I haven’t seen such a return on investment since I bought Studebaker stock.
Another reason why I don’t watch FOX News anymore . . . they’re totally watered down to just what the RINOs in D.C. are . . . Democrat-lite . . .
And since they just signed that worthless and unemployable idiot from Cleveland, Denny Kookcinich to be a contributor (as if he would have anything to contribute), I’ve written off FOX as a retread CNN.
Rove, Kucinich, and all the other RINO-land jackasses at FOX are totally written off in my house.
I don't watch Fox anymore. Not for years. I listen to Mark in the evenings. Live right now.
Not sure Mark could do TV as well as radio.
Either that of they both got the results that they wanted from it and would like a repeat for 2016.
Because some people still believe that Fox and the GOP are still ‘conservative’. But the actions of both over the last 2 years clearly show they are closer to the left than to us.
Until the people considering themselves conservative face the proven reality that they are not, we will go nowhere but down into obscurity. Hiring Jim would be the opposite of their demonstrated direction. And they are going in that direction because they are opposed to what he/we believe.
FOX must be on a suicide mission. Rove has zero credibility. When he comes on the tube I change it as fast as when the Kenyan pops up to stink up my screen.
Agree. He joined the Rasmussen credibility school for me.
As much of a jackas— as Beckel is he called the election very accurately.
He is probably more connected than these alleged gurus...
Actually Rove got it right. He was teamed with a eurocrat, Trippe? and they presented a map showing state polls that consistently predicted the outcome.
He was spot on in Delaware predicting the defeat of the Senate candidate. Freepers were mightily pissed, but Rove was correct in his prediction.
Rove is the most overrated consultant of them all.
Why? And why would anyone outside of Mr. Rove’s immediate family and friends care about what he says about anything? I fail to see how he has a following.

yes I do recall their maps. Did he call it one way or another in the end ?
I don’t remember his saying Obama will win....
I don’t have a problem with the token liberals on FNC. It’s hard to generate sparks if everyone is simply echoing agreement.
It is the GOPe RINO faux conservatives that get me—and make Fox now a network to root against, which is sad considering the other alternatives we have.
Time for some real competition—Fox itself is the Juan Williams of our nation’s news networks.
Every time Karl Rove shows up on FOX I switch channels. I do the same for Juan Williams, and Allen Colmes. If everyone did this maybe FOX would get the point.
