But he wasn’t a great biker before the cancer, so if he was really better because of drugs, then it seems clear he started after the cancer.

Anyway, I’m surprised he admitted it, because I figured if he was a cheater, he also wouldn’t be able to come clean. So he surprises me a little.

Now the question is, if he was so easily able to win the tour, getting tested all the time, and not get caught, is there any reason to believe ANY of the drug testing done for the tour has been any use at all?

I’m guessing not. They all could have been drugged the way Lance says he was.

Unless Lance just is the best (at cheating).

Well, they report that because he confessed, they are going to shorten his lifetime ban, so he can compete again.

Although why any competition would allow him, given that he’s proven that they can’t catch him cheating, is beyond me.

A Google search of steroids + testicular cancer will show articles from 2006 all the way up to present, linking (suspecting) Lance Armstrong’s cancer to his use of steroids.

No doubt in MY mind.

Agreed. I used to really admire Lance. Now I’m disappointed. I read about the manner in which he left his wife, treated his support folks, and denied that he doped. I always thought it was a vindictive former employee getting some payback.

Now it looks like much of the claims are true. Do the good results from the “Livestrong” organization vindicate him?

Did he create “Livestrong” to enhance his own ego or did he do it out of a genuine concern? I know that if I were a cancer survivor that was alive because of the assistance of “Livestrong,” I would care less.

If I was a competitor on the Tour de France, I’d be pissed.

The problem he has now is all the people he smeared and destroyed for saying he was doping.

Could it be his particular cancer was caused by his choice of performance enhancing steroids/drugs??

Could be. Could also be the years on the tiny bike seat. Who knows.

I don't feel the least bit sorry for the cheating %$%##$%!!! and neither should you.

I have no sympathy for Armstrong. I was proud of America, like when Jesse Owens won in Germany.

Agreed. I used to really admire Lance.

I was riding with my brother-in-law in Albuquerque years ago. I was struggling to keep up with him on a hill. This group of riders blow by us like we were standing still. It was Lance training. Amazing athlete. My BIL is a much better rider and he took off in pursuit. Couldn't get close.
