This is the grand irony,
the libs endlessly complain about gun manufacturers profits, yet they made them skyrocket by successfully electing Obama twice.

Just scanning the linked article, it looks like those are just the ones requiring background checks. I wonder what the total is.

India

- There are 1.13 active members in the Indian Army. “

It’s not the Indian or Chinese Army we fear.

Every where I look there’s a number of about 300 million firearms in the possession of US citizens. My gut says that number is low. Articles like this suggest that the number must be higher. Guns don’t age like cars.

Tell me about it. I’ve been looking for a 9mm handgun, and the places are picked over. Given that I’m a fiscal conservative, I’m also frugal, which is slowing down the purchase. (Supply and demand causing prices to rise).

I added the numbers. November and December purchases totaled 1.28 million more than the combined Indian and Chinease armies, meaning he probably could have included the U.S. Army and Marines with a few guns still left over.

Tonight I’m headed over to a real small place a couple towns over to see if I can get a little 7.62x39 ammo for my rifle that I lost due to an unfortunate boating accident. 8^| Just for target practice. Should be interesting to see what he does/doesn’t have in stock.

"Honest Americans Bought Enough Guns in November and December to Outfit the Entire Chinese and Indian Armies"

I truly hope this is accurate because not a one was purchased so that a gun owner would have something to turn in.

Good to know that if it comes to Revolution-II, we won’t have to be in debt to the French (Navy) or Dutch ($’s).

Couldn’t move in the Berea, Ohio Gun Show yesterday. Shoulder to shoulder attendance.

My son and I both joined the NRA last Thursday.

It is the homes without guns I would be worried about. Easy enough to check addresses on streets to see if they were gun owners.

Me, too!

The United States Citizens KNOW that they're going to have to fight TYRANTS in their own government.
You cannot protect life, without the ability to take life.

While you are WAITING for the police to respond, someone could be losing their life.
All people of a responsible age should be armed.

As EternalVigilance reminded us:

Click here to read the 12 page pamphlet.

Let us NEVER FORGET THAT !

Let's subjugate them to OUR end game, DUST!
"COMPROMISE" is a DIRTY word!
People who study the Bible know that COMPROMISE almost always leads to destruction.

It's time to mock the "Gun Control" Zombies!
"Gun Control" is a firm grip, steady breathing, accurate aim (developed by lots of practice), and a slow trigger pull.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
We need to learn from the Swiss and implement their "gun control measures" here in the United States right now, today!
These laws are the ones we should shove into the "2nd Amendment Haters" faces.

The Swiss have got it CORRECT !
Let's adopt THEIR LAWS !

Remember: Read Second Amendment: It’s Not About Hunting, IT'S ABOUT TYRANNY .

Neither the Chinese Army nor the Indian Army is an immediate threat to our individual freedom. The only logical conclusion is that Americans are buying weapons for the obvious reason - because "military style" weapons are, as the Founding Fathers wrote, necessary to the security of a free State. The weapons are to defend American citizens against a more immediate threat than India or China. I hope Vegetius was right: "Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum" (If you want peace, prepare for war). Like other firearm owners, I want peace. I am skeptical on the intentions of others, so I prepare. The ball is in their court.

I certainly hope plenty of lurking gun grabbers are reading the many pro-freedom posts on FR, including this one. Does the far left fringe really think we have purchased 67,000,000 firearms for the purpose of registering them with the threat they are meant to defend against or handing them over in return for a token payment (of our own tax dollars!)? Do they think those Americans who have fought in wars to defend freedom will allow themselves to be disarmed, will give up the only protection we have for our other freedoms, and will bow down to an unlawful, unconstitutional command?

Clearly the far left can get away with another "assault weapons ban" like the last one - although I hope even the dumbest advocates for disarming law-abiding Americans know that this will be only a symbolic victory. Going further: confiscating private firearms with or without a trivial payment, banning new semiautomatic weapons, restricting ammunition, or requiring registration will result in unpleasant consequences. I hope to avoid such an outcome. It is not clear to me that the far left wants to avoid a second civil war. If they successfully provoke another secession or another civil war, I will be cheering for the real Americans to win, not for the far left.

It would be interesting to know how mny weapons of all types have been inherited, passed down from father to son/daughter, or privately traded/gifted.

It would be no surprise to find that there are 300 million weapons in private hands.

Americans Buy Enough Guns in Last Two Months to Outfit the Entire Chinese and Indian Armies

Two were mine, and I ain't planning on turning them in, nor the dozens of "high-capacity" magazines I own. Molon Labe.

So, what percentage of those weapons were modern carbines like ARs and AKs and modern battle rifles like the FAL or M1A that are on the top of the "to be banned" list?

People are snapping up every modern carbine as soon as it hits a store shelf. A lot of people have been priced out of the modern carbine market and are upgrading and accessorizing what they have - new optics, lights, lasers, rails, etc. One of the items is out of stock everywhere is the Tapco Interfuse SKS stock, used to convert an otherwise prosaic 10 shot fixed magazine SKS into a rifle with a 20 round detachable magazine, rail system and multi-position stock - all features that keep liberals awake nights.

When the first "Assault" weapons "ban" took effect there were about 1.5 million rifles in private hands that fell into that category. Today there are tens of millions. There was also a divide in the gun owner community between the brown rifle and black rifle people. That doesn't exist anymore as far as I can tell. The politicians need to know that any attempt to ban anything will energize a voting block large enough to vote them out of office.

Does this mean we’ll have to use our older weapons if the Chinese, Indians AND the Russians invade?
