The Obama Administration is the number one threat to the nations gun rights advocates. In the four years since Barack Obama was first elected president in November 2008, an estimated 67 million firearms have been purchased in the United States. In November a record 2 million guns were sold in America. This was followed up by another record in December. 2.7 million guns were sold in America in the last month of 2012.

Honest Americans Bought Enough Guns in November and December to Outfit the Entire Chinese and Indian Armies

To put this in perspective. Chinese and Indian Standing Army Numbers:
China
- There are 2.29 active members in the Chinese Army.
India
- There are 1.13 active members in the Indian Army.
There were enough guns sold in the US in November and December to outfit each active member of the Chinese and Indian armies with a brand new gun.
My gut concurs with yours. I think the 300m number is just the firearms they know about.
There's a mountain of hardware that's totally off the radar. For example, I wonder how many AK parts kits have been imported over the years and subsequently turned into functioning rifles?
Just after Christmas, I was waiting while my car was being serviced at a Firestone shop. My car was the only one in the service bay, so two other mechanics busied themselves by working on something over by the shop's hydraulic arbor press. Finally I saw one of the guys holding what I recognized as a sheet metal AK receiver. There were six of them lined up on the workbench.
Germany and Japan started WW2 with less than that.
Good to hear. Last time I tried a quick re-load with my Russian surpluss strippers, I removed flesh from several parts of my hand. Good quality mid-war Soviet manufacturing. Don't bother rounding those edges Vasilli, the troops won't last long enough for a re-load.
Budsguns Ping for later!
Cool.
The ones I’m seeing are postwar Soviet with the Ishevsk arrow. They are thicker and mor ridgid than any I’ve seen before. The new Chinese ones are the worst...they are like razor blades.
4 of them were mine.
Not counting the other 3 that i didnt buy from private sourced
I have reservations about taking your family guns to someone for “servicing” because then the guns WILL be in someone’s records when ,not if, the government agenys come around with their portable scanners and copies to “examine” and ILLEGALLY copy the records.
What the government (or no one else) doesn’t know you have ,they can’t tax.Or specifically come to steal.
It is not that WalMart is not restocking; their distribution centers are out of ammo also. The local Sporting Goods Deptartment Gal told me the Distribution Center is estimating 3 to 6 months back order on most of what she has on order.
They are also out of AR15s and Mini14s nation wide. The ARs are likely to be back ordered for up to a year.
However, it is the Chinese army that we fund through our annual debt servicing.
with all these unfortunate boating accidents I’m thinking of taking up salvage scuba diving...maybe just a huge magnet on a hoist!
If it were my very old 1873 win rifle, I would look for a buyer then buy a whole armory from a private seller from the precedes.
>8^)
The problem is, hussein is buying up untold numbers, too.
My husband and I and our neighbors went yesterday to a gun store near us. Out in the country and packed. We bought 2 handguns, our friend bought 1. We were limited to 2 boxes ammo per gun. While we were waiting for our background checks, I saw at least 4 rifles out the door and a couple more hand guns.
always the pessimist, i *hope* that a large percentage arent being bought up with fed/bambam dollars to diminish supply and arm the civilian defense force of brown zombies...
Or disappeared from all the gun trade-ins.
I have never owned a gun. But I am signed up for a gun class later this month. After that I am buying. I did not get interested until the talk of gun control ratcheted up. If they say I can’t have a gun, I am going to buy one. Or two. I may then take them boating.

Only if they’re buying them online and at the store. And they’ve hired a million different people to do it.
That 300 million number was correct——— about a decade ago. Since then nearly every year has been a record year for new gun production with 2012 producing over 14 million new ones. As I’ve noted before, there are more privately owned firearms in the US population than there are in the rest of the world combined, including all the other militaries. And it’s OK with me if Walmart bails from the gun bidness-—they’ve done it before and we all survived. They’ve never been serious about servicing guns, just cherry picking the market for a few popular models and do more harm than good with respect to regular gun dealers.
Check out this one, it’s easy on the wallet and has great reviews:

So, OK, start here: John Snow, Clintoon’s old treasury secretary is a big deal in Cerebus, who in turn owns Freedom Arms, and in turn Remington and Bushmaster and others. Same guy who screwed up Chrysler. I’m getting tired already. You can finish.
EXACTLY!
It is the communist in the Whorehouse!
2.7 million gun sales in December.
There are “about” 1.5 million sworn law enforcement officers in the US.
That “roughly” equates too....every time a cop cashes a paycheck, a private citizen buys a gun.
Obama’s utopia!
Good.
No kidding.
Think of the poor .29 and the poor .13 guys.
Ouch
Everyone should buy more...and lots of ammo.
I just cleaned out a closet and forgot how much I had squirreled away.
But I will be looking for more, if they have it.
Don’t have the heavy lift capabilities to get em all here quickly with all thier needed crap.
I’m looking for scope mounts for an Egyptian FN-49. Freep mail if you know where to find a kit??
yep, I’d say .. probably 85% of all guns made and sold in the US since 1900 are still out there somewhere, being sold to others or handed down to the next generation.
Every person I know you owns guns owns... LOTS of guns.
300 million gun estimate is WAY low, I’d gun closer to a billion.
Recent numbers I have seen are 315 million firearms.
Then there's the little problem of a functional command structure with secure communications, part of what a "well regulated militia" really means. Try putting that together in the current electronic environment.
We have a lot of work to do.
Evidently, women in those countries only count as fractions of a person.
I had a clerk at the gun counter say that you could also fire 45 cap through those but can’t find confirmation
Fabulous news, Darlings!
I added a new .22 rifle to my arsenol and Mr. Wonderful is buying me a handgun of some sort in the very near future.
Last night, for giggles, we retro-fitted one of his bolt-action rifles with a pistol grip.
Life. Is. Good.
Now, if I can just keep getting ammo...
I love hearing stuff like that.
add two more this weekend, one for the misses and a shotgun for the house
I guess they don't add in all the guns that made their way back into the US after Obama/Holder gave them to the Mexican drug cartels.
If I only had the money, I would have bought one(s) as well. The best I can do is a sling shot and marbles. The Good News is: I’m dead on target. The Bad News is: I need more marbles...
;o]
One point that I have not seen made here in this discussions, yet...I stand to be corrected...
But...
If these sales numbers alone, are not enough of a message to the government and these temporary tenants of representation are not getting it clearly enough...I predict they will very, very soon...
I believe it is time to NOT be very cordule or nice to any of them...Including the ones that may put up a fight, but it will be feckless in content and committment in my opinion...
I bought a Ruger 10/22 in .22 LR on Friday. I can’t find any ammo around here (I have plenty stockpiled) and finally found a spare magazine today but only the factory 10 round one.
I’m trying to help a friend fine something appropriate for concealed carry. She’s 68 with arthritis. We found a Ruger 32 that she could work the slide on, but I’m worried she’d have trouble loading the magazine, even with a re-loader. I think a revolver would be better, due to her hand-strength issues & was looking at a S&W 638 Airweight on-line. But I think it’d be best to have her see it/try it in person. Anyone with an idea of what might be suitable?
