Just today our local news reported that a local man had been arrested for having sex with his 18 year old daughter. The news said that he had been recently reunited with her after the mother won custody when she was a little girl.
Apparently mother knew best years ago.

This is just a logical extension of moral relativism: anything is permissible as long as you decide it is.
It wouldn’t surprise me to hear more so-called experts defend incest, bestiality, and necrophilia with the same arguments.

That's the trick though. If you redefine the effects as being equal and harmless, then presto, there are no harmful effects.
