Congressmen Confirm That Boehner Will Either Resign Speakership Or Be Forced Out
Cybercast News Service.com ^ | 1/2/13 | Ron Meyer

I have confirmed with a group of Congressmen that House Speaker John Boehner will not be reelected Speaker tomorrow.

He will either resign or be forced out tomorrow.

Only 17 members are needed to block Speaker Boehner's election tomorrow. A Speaker needs an absolute majority of all votes cast for a specific person.

If no one has a majority, the House is speakerless. I've confirmed these rules with the House Parliamentarian.

Yep..sounds like the little weenie is posturing to take Boehner’s seat. I say Trey Gowdy or Michelle Bachman. Of course...my absolute choice would be Mark Levin!!

Hensarling is no longer on the Leadership team. Cathy McMorris Rodgers took his spot. She voted w/ JB. As did Greg Walden (the only other Leadership member to do so).

How is this not a stinging indictment on JB?

Ignore this. The guy’s a flake with unnamed sources who has already contradicted this story himself. Doesn’t belong in breaking news, but whatcha gonna do?

“Is there anything that stops Pelosi from instructing House Dems to vote for Boehner and keep him where he is??”

Nothing except Pelosi’s ego, which is why she won’t do it. And the last time a Democrat voted for a Republican for Speaker (Jim Traficant voting for Hastert in 2001), the RATs didn’t name him to *any* committees.

Even The Great One, at times, can be too clever by half.

I don’t give a damn about Newt’s personal life. What matters to me is his record, and as Speaker, he proved himself to be a mediocre leader at best. He’s as bad as Boehner in that regard. He’s great at giving lectures, but when it comes to actually getting it done, he’s always AWOL. And today he paints this revisionist history of how he single-handedly balanced the budget four years in a row, which is complete BS. Not one single year of his entire House career was our budget ever in balance. Noot is only a legend in his own mind. His leadership ability sucks, and his latest Presidential campaing is evidence of that.

"What does matter is that he's not a citizen."

I thought that was the way it is, but was unsure.

You haven’t offered anything to refute them. If Gingrich’s own supporters can’t offer any defense except name-calling, that’s an indictment. There are hundred of article on Free Republic about the impeachment and his romance with Pelosi. You are going to take the Clinton tactic, that it depends on what the meaning of is is? What exactly do you like about that guy?

Lankford replaced Price? Wow, I didn’t know that. This marks the first time I have ever seen Price go against Boehner. Now I know why. It wasn’t on principle. It was because Boehner took his spot away.

NEWT GINGRICH, whether you like him or not, has the experience and knowledge to wade into the den of "snakes & thieves" and get RESULTS.

If SOMEONE doesn't force SPENDING CUTS then there really is NO hope.

Newt has a lot to offer us in these most trying times. The lady is probably very nice, but he needs to leave her in his audience more and not push her on us. Just a shade or two too stark looking for me.
