Michael Moore’s New Year’s Resolution: "Stop Saying, 'I Support the Troops.' I Don't" By Noel Sheppard Created 01/01/2013 - 1:40pm
Schlockumentary filmmaker Michael Moore has some peculiar New Year’s resolutions that he published at the Huffington Post Monday evening.
At number four was “Stop saying, ‘I support the troops.’ I don't. I used to.”
“I understand why so many enlisted after 9/11,” Moore continued. “Sadly, many of them were then trapped and sent off to invade Iraq. I felt for all of them. I understood those who joined because of a lousy economy. But at some point all individuals must answer for their actions, and now that we know our military leaders do things that have nothing to do with defending our lives, why would anyone sign up for this rogue organization?”
Isn’t that special?
Then Moore, possibly realizing how inflammatory this was, added a fifth resolution:
Apologize for No. 4. I have enormous respect for anyone who would offer to sacrifice their life to defend my right to live. Is there any greater gift one can give another? It's not the troops' fault they're sent to invade other countries for dubious reasons and outright lies. It's OUR responsibility to prevent this, to elect representatives who believe in peace, and to only put our troops in harm's way when it's absolutely necessary. My uncle was killed in World War II. Today would have been his 90th birthday. My dad still misses him. Our family has served this country in the military since the Revolutionary War. None of them watch Fox News.

Besides when the SHTF the irony of people like Mikey being torn apart by those they have staunchly defended as the victims will be as pure and sweet as justice can get in this current world.
A mob of angry Amish after Mikey, his bodyguards will run out of ammo well before that’s over, they’ll go down, and then Mikey will learn some unpleasant truths.
Real assh0les actually work and perform a lot of vital, useful functions that you’d really miss if they didn’t.

Every ONE of the people in that commercial were liberals like Alec Baldwin, Jane Fonda, Janeanne Garafolo, Michael Douglas, Tom Hanks, and horseface herself, from "Skank in the city" Sarah Jessica Parker. Now the very guy in the commercial who was purporting to "have the backs of the troops" is now saying his resolution is to stop saying this.
You made me chuckle out loud! I have been doing this all year when talking to the Libs I work with. One of them actually mocks my “Really?”! I am still praying that the last laugh will be mine with that guy.
It’s the Kenyan’s gay army now, is probably what they’re thinking, so it’s okay to support THOSE troops.

After REV 2, this guys name needs to be on the top of the list for exile. Since we will not be funding the UN food programs, I’d put him on the top of a list for a donation to some nation that still has canabals...they would be self sufficient for a few decades feeding off that tub of lard.
