Not so sure I agree with your hypothesis that gluten prevents obesity...I'd say it's a fact that Americans are fatter than ever.

I've seen many a morbidly-obese welfare-hog, with equally fat-pig children in tow, piloting a supersized shopping cart (or two) piled to overflowing with boxes and bags of carbohydrate/sugar laden junkfood, and not a single healthy food item in the mix.

So I guess, de facto, for past couple of years folks have been getting credited for less income...ie 4.2% grossed up as opposed to, well at the 6.2% rate ALL income was counted up until the max.

so people are essentially borrowing from their own retirement, grossed up and all that jazz, and getting NOTHING from the gubmint?

Or is full income still counted toward retired SS calculation?

I'd bet against Obeyme upstaging Republicans with a tax cut. Higher taxes are his nirvana and the only way to pay for what he wants. Of course, the middle class is where are all the money is.

If he did, Republicans could pretty easily co-opt it , or take credit for it.

They're only play is huge spending cuts in exchange for a small debt limit increase.

I don’t remember who the quote was from, but I remember reading the graphic AS Jonathan Karl was reading it...the very end of the quote said something about “SMALLER government”, yet, Karl read it “BIGGER (or big) government”, and no one said a damned thing about it!

Grahamnesty just said Panetta told him that 800,000 DoD layoff notices go out Wednesday even if this apparent deal IS passed. This is in addition to FY13’s existing 10% cut. This is in addition to 10% cuts in other non-DoD areas this week. Feinsteen said the cuts don’t account for priority, that high priority programs are also cut by 10% (actually 13.3% since it 3+ mo into the FY). That’s a DoD budget that has been cut 23% since last year.

All I know is that when I give e mail my payroll to my cpa she doubles my SS and its less than what I have been paying in the past. the 2% is doubled so I wind up paying 4% less on SS.I thin kabar said that the govt. picks up the difference and that the taxpayers continue to get fully funded. Typical ozero convoluted plan.IT’s all designed to destroy the country, incrementally.

Yup, we need to go back to the "town farms" where the homeless lived in "the poor house" and raised crops and livestock, which they then ate.

They should also have bus service into town so they'd have access to the employment office or job interviews, until they could get into the job market.

That's the problem with the entire scenario. The rats have successfully lied so much and distorted everything beyond belief so that no one knows what is going on. Its all done by design.

So when zero gets on tv and says it all our fault a lot of people actually believe it.

You have to ask yourself however if that even makes sense? It doesn't.

So the negotiations go on over minutia.

Negotiating over how much you want to screw the producers in small business borders on insane. Is it 250k 400k, 1 million? It's like asking someone where he would like to be shot, in the head or in the foot.

Meanwhile, other negotiations go on over whether or not to cut the deficit 20 cents or 30 cents when we borrow over a trillion dollars a year more than we take in.

You gotta wonder what alternative universe our legislators live in.
