Hopefully zero can score so big on the fiscal cliff that it will lead to wholesale amnesty in the name of how horrible it would be not to do so.If he lies his way into full blown amnesty the Republican party is over forever.

Keeping the status quo on immigration will make the GOP the permanent minority party if it isn't already. A "wholesale amnesty" will destroy more than just the GOP.

The Heritage Foundation concluded that the cost of amnesty would be $2.6 trillion just for increased entitlement program costs. And the number of additional LEGAL immigrants who would join those who were the recipients of amnesty through chain migration, i.e., family reunification, would approach 70 million over a 20-year period, assuming there are only 12 million illegal aliens. We cannot assimilate such numbers. An amnesty would destroy the United States of America with the stroke of a pen.

Pat, I hear he called John Adkins for advice

Dear Lord. Let me explain to yon casual observers who John Atkins is.

When I first moved to Delaware Atkins was a Repub. He's a real a**hold, and is now a Dem. This is because he got kicked out from office by the pubs, yea indeed...myself was one of the voters and John Atkins HATES MY GUTS

. So if one is looking for someone to fix traffic tickets, illegal use of our prisoners to clean our yards, drunk driving issues (Atkins got kicked out cause he got caught drinking and driving, shouted "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? and was, in general, being the awful, awful John Atkins.

He was also arrested for "aggressive touching" of his wife plus writing long emails to Delaware State Police who dated to stop him once for speeding.

He's a good Democrat, he is, in a very, very Repub area. They re-elected this Jerk after he turned to Dem so they get what they pay for.

I have a hard time believing Donaldson just, boom, called up John Atkins outta the blue. Somebody pointed him in the direction of Sussex county's most corrupt legislator.

Diane F. on FOX - assault weapons aren’t good hunting weapons nor are they good for defense. Asked about armed guards in schools - says a third of the schools already have armed guards. Columbine had armed guards but that was no help (I didn’t know there were armed guards)

Graham will oppose the assault weapons ban - more guns mean less crime. The problem was with the mentally deranged person intent on mass murder - we need to do more to identify/deal with these people - not the guns.

Diane F. says there are 9,000 murders with guns every year. Without any guns, those murders wouldn’t happen. (????? lolol - moron)

The one I have brews FOUR sizes. My well-worn coffee mug holds about 16 ounces. It DOES brea a 16 ounce size but hey, I like my coffee strong. Using one of those cuppie things and brewing 16 ounces makes it too weak.

So I brew an 8 ounce cuppie thing then put a new one in and brew another. Two 8 ounce brews fits into my beloved mug.

But that’s just waaaaaaay too expensive for what is essentially a morning coffee fix and Chock Full O’ Nuts will do.

Like I said, there’s all kinds of ways to configure this thing and let us not forget that Swiss Miss has little cuppie things and husband loves hot chocolate.

So I’m psyched.

You’ll love it. And next week I host my book Club...we’re reading “Portrait of a Monster-the Story of Joran Vandersloot”....and it’s PERFECT for company.

Serving little crab cakes, shrimp, hummus dip, Doritos ranch chips, peeled clementines, an olive tray, country sausage and a nice home-made bundt cake.

Read the book and y’all can join me.

If that photo is for real, she looks like she’s been embalmed. (Which, I guess, would be appropriate for a representative of the party that relies on the votes of dead people.)

How do you fall off a cliff when you are in freefall anyway? I love the way the mediots make up terms to manipulate the masses into thinking they are on solid ground if not for the Repubs.

Happy New Cliff

MTP is throwing away it’s influence and credibility with crypto-commie DNC Dave Gregory.

Tim Russert was a liberal but DNC Dave is a hard core Leftist.

Kind of like Joe Lieberman vs Nancy Pelosi.

MTP and credibility? Who cares? read the comments the last few weeks; WE HAVE STOPPED WATCHING THE SUNDAY MORNING SHOWS, and this thread is for people who watch the shows.

The show people are doing this only for show, kind of like North Korea having a parade with all of their military power. Ever notice that NK only parades during the day? They don't have enough electric lights to throw a parade at night. Kind of like we will be when there is no money left to turn on the lights. Of course, with Obama bulbs, nobody could see anything anyway.

I have a Solo Cup and it works great with my Keurig. I can use whole beans in the coffee grinder and have fresh cheap coffee all day.

Watching DiFi and Graham on FOX - I think they were negotiating on air - DiFi looked pretty pleased at the end of her segment.

Round table on the “fiscal cliff” - Evan Bayh - thinks the odds are greater than 50 percent that a deal will be made in the Senate...it’s just those pesky Representatives that might gunk things up.

Byron York - says they are only dealing with the most immediate problems because they know obama will call for “tax cuts” for everyone under 250K if we go over the cliff in January, and if Repubs don’t vote for obama’s proposal then, they will be voting against tax cuts.

Everyone seems to agree that obama will get what he wants, it will do nothing to help the defecit, but, hey, it’s all about the politics.

Grahamnesty just said Panetta told him that 800,000 DoD layoff notices go out Wednesday even if this apparent deal IS passed. This is in addition to FY13’s existing 10% cut. This is in addition to 10% cuts in other non-DoD areas this week. Feinsteen said the cuts don’t account for priority, that high priority programs are also cut by 10% (actually 13.3% since it 3+ mo into the FY). That’s a DoD budget that has been cut 23% since last year. And they said they will still vote for it, and wait for Feb Debt Cieling debates. Real reason: they can all say they cut without making difficult decisions or taking responsibility.

Time for a real conservative approach; cut the active-duty military to 500,000; change the name of the DOD to the Department of War, and only conduct actual wars, not extended occupations.

No more adventures involving 100,000's of troops for extended periods with no plan or idea what success looks like, and no more perpetual funding devices for heavy donators. As a taxpayer, I can't afford to provide for defense contractors, school teachers, AND health insurance opportunists. Time to cut the subsidy payroll.

Speaking of football.....

....today I am rooting for the Redskins.

They’re NOT the Ravens, sure. But they are based in a city that I grew up next to, they are sure the under-dogs, here in the swamps there are lots of Redskins fans who suffer mockery.

so today....

.................GO SKINS!!!

Re: DoD cuts - it’s all relative. Some is probably “reductions in growth”. At least 13-14% is direct budget cut, across the board, all programs and depatments and divisions. 800,000 pink slips this week. 800,000 unemployment claims.

MTP: Obama drones on and on about his first priorities (gun control), seemingly content that the Department of Defense he leads is about to be raked and the unemployment rate is about to skyrocket.

That is a distinction that only the aficionados care about.

No, just those who care if you sound credible or knowledgable about the subject or not. You can continue to call cartridges or rounds "bullets" and you sound as clueless as the next gun grabber Libtard.

CBS Morning Show today; my wife watched the segment about who died in 2012, and commented later that it took 45 minutes to to talk about them all.

So did a lot of really important people die, or do we as a society just spend more time contemplating our navel than we used to?

I saw part of the segement, and I came away with, "Ray Bradbury and some other people died in 2012."

Chock Full O’ Nuts

I'm a CFON guy myself, but recently found cause to criticize their jingle on the yellow can lid whith stated:

"No Nuts!...100% Pure coffee"

I thought; "What morons....(no nuts)"

It should say:

GO NUTS!...100% Pure Premium Coffee!

I have a bag of roasted beans and a grinder, just achin to get together for some hard core black coffee. I'll let you know how it turns out.

There were NO armed guards at Columbine.

This is a lying WH talking points. The Dems were out and about and saying the same lie last week.

There WAS a guard on duty....UNARMED.

At some point he was in a car of some LE or another and THAT guy had a gun.

How this counts as an armed guard, go to hell, they lie and the low-information voters believe them.

then they go tell all their friends that Columbine has an armed guard and it did no good and the lies goes around the world.

The White Hut very good at this sort of thing.

Well. There are degrees of accident: real, very real, actually very real, etc. This one was a “heap big” accident if you don’t mind lapsing into native tongue.

We have had the debate on how many are here all too many times. Realistically its somewhere between 12 and 38 million. The ramifications of amnesty are basically Cloward/ Piven.

It's what they have been striving for. Let welfare overwhelm the financial system of the country and bankrupt the nation. Its always been the endgame.
