As long as the subject is locking up elected officials, I have a different list, with no end date.
This is bull crap. Don’t lock them in, lock them OUT so they cannot do any more damage to our country. I’m 77 yo and have NEVER seen such inept, bumbling fools in my lifetime. If we don’t get our shit together, the country of our youth will be no more. I’m sure there’s many that desires that but I pray there are still patriots left.

Quite the contrary.
I want Congress (House) to just do its damned job and pass a responsible budget and revenue bill. Given the awful state of Obama’s “transformed” American economy, the bill should include substantial tax cuts (with cutbacks in some of the worst of the rip-off spending). Send a responsible bill to the Senate and let Reid deal with it there.
Period.
Stop “dealing” with Zero and start doing your damned jobs!

The House of Representatives is not, and has not been, the problem.
If no crisis exists, the Democrats will do their damnedest to assure that a “crisis” WILL be manufactured. By not negotiating in good faith with the House majority, there is no basis for any agreement now or anytime in the near future.
On top of the “fiscal cliff”, the national debt is bumping up against the artificial “debt limit”, which in a sane world, would be a highly compelling reason for the Senate Democrats and the Current Occupant of the White Hut to come to the Republicans with some real concessions on spending, not ten years from now, on supposed savings through “more prudent” stewardship of funding, but RIGHT NOW, this year, taking effect before the end of January, 2013.
But Harry Reid and Bronco Bama seem to be afflicted with some mental disorder bordering on psychosis, in which both seem to be totally adamant about not allowing Republicans to get credit for ANYTHING.
There is no way to apply logic or reasoning to this sort of attitude.
Didn't House do this a couple of times, even including a Ryan inspired bill? The logjam has been the Senate.
