To: Red in Blue PA

i don’t support it. i support letting adults working in the school with ccw and any other adult with ccw carrying on school grounds.

we don’t need expansion of the police state. citizens can police themselves, government is never the best and first answer to everything.

The media quickly turned this into “one in 7 cops will be pulled off the streets”. BS - there are plenty of retired cops, well trained responsible citizens and military that would do this for nothing.

Chat with the young teachers and the kids? Free lunch and computer privileges? I volunteered in the armed pilot program after 9/11. I’d train any teacher to shoot. I’d do it again for nothing. Sign me up coach.

I’m with you. Committees of Safety need to be formed in order to set the parameters of the county program, then vet all the volunteers. The background investigations come from county funds. We need to change the culture and get back to building the local militia for this job.
