Cornyn beats the hell out of any Texas Dem. Cornyn has been a loyal Texas Republican from day one, which does not mean a Tea Party guy. Me thinks you need a dose of Yeller Dog Dem history for perspective.
There are plenty as you describe. Stand by, Texas just traded a lot worse for Ted Cruz, so there is hope.
