reactions are ranging from hesitation to anger

No approval, no thoughtful consideration. Nope, the entire range of reactions is negative.

Superintendent Hank Grishman of the Jericho, N.Y., schools on Long Island says he is outraged by the idea. He says putting more guns in schools won't make children safer, and could even put them in the line of more gunfire.

Hey, stuperintendent, the Newtown shooting didn't stop until the cops showed up and brought whole lot more guns into the school.

Hank Grishman, if we follow what he said very carefully, doesn't want MORE guns in the schools ~

So, where are the guns that are already in the schools?

His statement is rather self-incriminating ~ because he clearly implies there are a lot of guns in the schools he knows about.

Let us follow this to its conclusion. These parents are adamantly opposed to duly approved firearms in their schools. Even if all the good guys in the country were to hand in their guns tomorrow, the bad guys would still have theirs or would be able to buy them in a newly thriving black market. Therefore, these parents must be satisfied waiting for the police to arrive on the scene twenty minutes later. A this point they don’t need the police, just the CSI folks.
