NBC News White House correspondent Chuck Todd today called U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice a "victim" of conservative "advocacy media" while addressing her decision to withdraw from consideration for secretary of state.
"She became victim of the attacks. ... and it was all driven, in many cases, by conservative outlets who were making her the center of the Benghazi story," Todd told MSNBC's Martin Bashir. "There were legitimate questions to ask about the Benghazi story, but the idea that she belonged in the center of those attacks never made a lot of sense. She sort of became a victim of this.
"It's too easy now in the way our media landscape is set up: You can become collateral damage in a hurry, in the way you can just get piled on — whether it's Twitter, whether its advocacy journalism, talk radio. ... That's what she was. Make no mistake, she was political collateral damage," Todd said.

JFKerry is ‘due’ a promotion and since it is the Senate's job to approve the president's nominees, and liberals are in the majority in the Senate, Chuckie, might look closer to in the Senate as to why Susan is not who they want to fill that vacancy at the State Department.
Hey Chuckie, liberals have a long history of pointing an accusing finger at their mortal enemies, while doing the very thing they accuse others of being/doing.
Oh and Chuckie, when either Susan volunteered or willingly accepted the role, to be the face of Benghazi on all the liberal networks, it is really beyond any grains of credibility for you to pout out that conservative advocacy media had squat to do with or affect Susan's credentials. You liberals did this to Susan from the president all the way to the JonStewart media houses of worship on a Sunday morning.
Chuck Todd would be ashamed of himself that the conservative internet media was able to bring a powerful blatant liar down and it was not him and his news agency that had the ethics, power and intellegence to do it.
He’s mad because better journalists did his job much better than him. Marxists really, really hate the freedom of speech. They have an impossible task of “selling” hate, envy and total control when they are challenged.
The conservatives should be statesmen and be as polite and respectful as the Democrats were to John Bolton and Robert Bork.
