Khatam.... The passage in Sura 33 that has usually been translated as "seal of the prophets" means, according to Luxenberg, "witness". By this reading, Muhammad is not the last of the prophets, but only a witness to those prophets who came before him.

This is relevent since Moses in telling of the great prophet that was to come stated that prophet would be of the brothers of Judah.
