I was wondering how strong the FreeRepublic presence is on Twitter. I've been on there since October, and I've noticed that a lot of conservatives on Twitter end up getting temporarily suspended due to a spam-report bug that liberals are able to exploit? So far, I've been suspended 6 times in the last 2 months, mostly over my opinions regarding Benghazi.
Conservatives on Twitter refer to the temporary suspension as Twitter Gulag. Many have attempted to bring up the spam-report exploit to Twitter, but they deny it exists.
Have the Freepers on Twitter found a way to negate or lessen these Twitter suspensions?
I was getting hounded last night by a radical leftist LGBT because I tweeted about Prop8 and DOMA. I was going back and forth with her, pointing out how ridiculous her statements were(she claimed that 25 percent of the world is born gay). Anyway, the back and forth culminated with her threatening that I would be the first conservative scumbag whose blood was spilled by the LGBT revolution if the SCOTUS doesn't rule in favor of gay marriage. Needless to say, as I went to block her on Twitter, I realized she had exploited the spam-report bug on me, and I am now suspended again from Twitter.
I'm thinking I will be spending much more time on FR now, since these forum actually allows the free expression of conservative ideas. I fully believe that Twitter is aware of the spam-report exploit being used against conservatives, and they just refuse to address it.
Has anyone else encountered this Twitter Gulag?
I only directly talk to a couple of people on twitter.
If your account is less than a year old and under 10K followers, it is extremely susceptible to attacks from Lefturds and Libtards.
One of the easiest ways to cut down getting sent to TwitterGulag is to not use the Reply feature when conversing with the Left.

A Triumph
Always walking. Always searching. All day. Relentless. The streets are emptier but the sidewalks busier. Shops boarded up. This is the environment of nothing.
An angry, demanding crowd at one corner relief agency, but they have nothing more to give. It has all been given, more has been given away than has ever existed.
You cannot give what you do not have, and you can no longer have what is no longer left to take.
A woman huddles on the curb and holds her child, probably dead, in desperate hope while plaintively watching those who pass by, her gaze is a beggar, no one looks at her. They have nothing, they have less than a corpse to thier names.
City Hall is all boarded up, but has become a shelter for the needy masses who will pick up and leave once the trash and stench of urine overwhelms them. There is a large crowd in the park next to the County Office, a loudspeaker has drawn them in. A lynching, or rather a semi-official hanging of an ex-businessman who has been declared guilty of the crime of going broke. The broke crowd screams hatred for blood.
He has become one of the needy masses, he was broken by the new confiscatory 90% tax rate. His greed merits death.
He is hung, the crowd disperses but their grim visages are not sated. The needy, demanding class has triumphed over the greed of those who once fed them.
Doesn’t this mean that conservatives can zap liberals into Twitgitmo? Think Alinsky and fight fire by their own rules.
It’s fairly easy to work around.

I’ve been trying to avoid the direct tweet back to libtards, but every now and then, someone is so obnoxious and annoying, that I end up responding back. This LGBT literally send me 10 consecutive messages with her liberal bull shit, so I finally gave in, and started making her look silly.
Her bio said she was an anarchist student of Saul Alinsky, but than her bio picture had some nonsense about not cutting entitlements. I pointed out to her that she was a big government anarchist, and therefore a complete oxymoron.
That link is definitely helpful. I guess it’s just frustrating that I enjoy Twitter because I can make liberals look silly, and this spam report glitch definitely ruins all the fun.
I understand how it works, but doesn’t it seem a bit ridiculous that Twitter allows such an easy exploit to be utilized against (mostly) conservatives. Isn’t that whole purpose of Twitter to be able to Tweet back and forth between each other? You think, once someone has appealed multiple suspensions, that it would be more difficult to utilize the spam exploit against them?
Liberal trolls will report you as spam and block you. Period. Goes with the territory.
I have a big Twitter presence and am as conservative as it gets. You have to immediately block lefty trolls, arguing with them does zero good. Their goal is to get you banned.
I have a simple solution for you. Quit using Twitter.

I went to the gulag once.
I rarely engage the trolls.
Your best defense is building up your number of followers.
The larger the number of followers, the harder it is for the trolls to use that spam/block weapon against you - for whatever reason (something to do with algorithms - although the lefties don’t seem to have as much trouble as we do)
One day I was checking my “interactions” and there was a notice that someone had added me to a bunch of lists.
A lefty was collecting conservative tweeters and compiling them into lists where other lefties could go and start pushing the spam/block buttons.
As soon as I saw that I blocked the listmaker and I avoided the gulag.
Always check your interactions and keep your name off liberal lists!
I did notice a sudden rash of Arabic followers who purely tweeted in Arabic after I had made comments in support of Israel. I need to start blocking all these fools.
I wonder if I need to watch my back since ms. lesbian told me I’d be the first casualty of the “bloodletting” since I’m against gay marriage. More tolerance from the left.
Hm, I have started tweeting quite a bit this year. I only have about 500 followers. I have only ever had a lefty respond to me once or twice. I wonder what I am doing wrong?!

It happens more on hijacked hashtags...ones that were started by libs and taken over by conservatives.
The latest one was Obama’s #My2K . A bunch of ‘em were out over that.
They will be on trending hashtags, and on youth oriented ones too.
