Net hiring over the past 12 months declined to -12, down from -7 in July.
U.S. small-business owners expect to add fewer net new jobs over the next 12 months than at any time since the depths of the 2008-2009 recession.
...
In November, 21% of owners say they expect to decrease jobs at their companies over the next 12 months, the most recorded on this measure since the inception of the Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index in August 2003.
...
small-business owners are pessimistic about their operating environment as 2012 comes to a close. As a result, owners' intentions are to reduce capital spending over the months ahead, consistent with a slowing economy. Further, one in five owners also expects to reduce the number of jobs at their company over the next 12 months.

Dems will have to find a new group to loot...
Dear Leader needs to punish these malcontents. He’ll be coming up with a new “5 year Plan” for the great leap forward soon.
Small businesses cannot be controlled by the feral government, and therefore must be exterminated.
The only employers that can be allowed to exist are members of the big-government/big-corporate criminal complex.
Yet Americans want these same job producers — in a struggling, increasingly socialist economy — to take a hard tax hit.. because of “fairness.”
“Fairness” doesn’t get a guy to pull a 10PM to 7AM shift at a local factory for $12 an hour.
“Fairness” doesn’t ensure a decent meal at the Catfish Cabin for $9.99.
“Fairness” doesn’t mean that you are guaranteed Ford-certified transmission mechanic when you demand an overnight repair.
“Fairness” doesn’t drive a truckload of tomatoes from Texas to Michigan in the middle of a December snowstorm.
“Fairness” doesn’t clean the restaurant kitchen enough to pass the city health inspector inspection.
“Fairness” doesn’t get you a $20k loan from the local bank when your business heating system failed in the midst of February.
“Fairness” doesn’t guarantee your kid is getting a top-notch math teacher in the sixth grade.
“Fairness” isn’t going to help you when the city has determined a year-long construction project will go by the front of your store and halt half of the profits you enjoyed for a decade.
“Fairness” isn’t helping when a city council member won’t approve your booze license unless there’s some donation to their campaign fund.
“Fairness” doesn’t help when the cops won’t come out to your area of town after dark because there’s too much crime there.
“Fairness” doesn’t sweep up a mess made by a bunch of drunks around the back of your building the night before.
I would even add this....”Fairness” didn’t exist on the 6th of June 1944 on the beaches of Normandy.
For anyone who is really obsessed with “Fairness”, maybe it’s time you asked what exactly is meant by the term.
I have 23 employees. I’ve already let one go and I’ve reduced the hours of 5 more.
Small business owners will survive. We know what to do. Just can’t grow and can’t hire. Silly gubment people. This mess is going to get worse. I bought a lot of Boy Scout popcorn. It’s going to come in handy. We’re broke as a nation. All the whining and wanting and demanding and demonizing cannot change that.
Once it passed, that has been the plan, and until it goes away, that will stay the plan.
I stopped hiring and expanding as soon as hussein got elected. Hunker down and ride it out.
nobody, and i mean NOBODY, is going to hire anybody knowing there is no end to the economic/tax horrors the mutt in the whit hut will unleash next, until he's gone...
I tell every charity but my church that there will be no more donations until the tax disaster we have in the White House ends. It is fun to say that when they call. You can bet most voted for him. Idiots.
I’m hoping charitable donations are capped, too. That’ll really start the fun.
i heard that... the Salvation Army is about all i give to now days
Especially on that example pertaining to D-Day. “Fairness” ensures defeat on the battlefield. We`ve learned that in recent conflicts.
Our (former) business had 21 employees for years. We closed it, let everyone go and retired several months ago. The timing was related to the DIMs/LIBs/nobama plan for the country. Good luck to all. No regrets.
congratulations Mr. Galt!
There are two organizations who receive donations from me: my church and the Boy Scouts.
Small business IS controlled by government through regulation and taxation. The problem is that small businesses are not as close to the ‘source’ (liquidity, passing legislation, etc.) as big business.
Welcome to ‘Corporatism’ where Big Government pits special interest groups against each other.

Dems always castigate "supply" side economics, lets see them start an economy with only "demand".
In the main
I blame
Hussein.
Small businesses are too numerous to be able to do that with efficiently.
So just kill them.
“We killed the golden goose. I'm certain that we will still be getting the golden eggs with that dern goose out of the way!
...evil Capitalist goose!
Where are my golden eggs! Make the goose lay more eggs!”
Maybe the occupiers can lay some eggs for us.
Now, we are neo-kulaks.
FORWARD!
I doubt that Small Business Owners counted on the public being stupid enough to re-elect the commie kenyan usurper.
For the crypto-Marxists.
Never mind small businesses; last night I was in a Home Depot, and I’ve never seen one so lightly staffed. This place was minutes from NYC, Hoboken (you know, the places with all the storm damage) and it was eerily empty of both staff and customers.
The “new normal”...
My next ad:
NOW HIRING!
Obama supporters need not apply.

Oh look...another Obama Fail.
Yes, the pain in Maine
falls plainly from Hussein.
And all that other pain all over America too.
I’ll be honest - I’m concerned about my small business. And the only person I have to layoff is myself. It’s times like this I wish I were a Liberal. (Whoo -hooo! Obama won!!! Things are REALLY going to pick up now!!!!)
