Obama Gets Humiliated in the Pacific
Fox Nation ^ | December 03, 2012 | Spengler

Posted on 12/05/2012 12:27:56 PM PST by Brown Deer

It is symptomatic of the national condition of the United States that the worst humiliation ever suffered by it as a nation, and by a US president personally, passed almost without comment last week. I refer to the November 20 announcement at a summit meeting in Phnom Penh that 15 Asian nations, comprising half the world's population, would form a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership excluding the United States.

President Barack Obama attended the summit to sell a US-based Trans-Pacific Partnership excluding China. He didn't. The American led-partnership became a party to which no-one came.

Instead, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, plus China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, will form a club and leave out the United States. As 3 billion Asians become prosperous, interest fades in the prospective contribution of 300 million Americans - especially when those Americans decline to take risks on new technologies. America's great economic strength, namely its capacity to innovate, exists mainly in memory four years after the 2008 economic crisis...

Pretend you’re from an Asian nation, looking at the US. Would you want us in your club?

If you said yes, you’re not looking hard enough. Take off the rose colored glasses and look again.

"Obama must be thrilled that he is burying us even faster than he could have dreamed!"

Right you are. Obama is piling success on success. The US is failing and Obama is doing all he can to speed up the timetable.

Not with Obama in power. I lived in Asia. They aren’t backward.

We have leadership that promotes the idea that innovation and success needs to be limited, controlled and punished. Leadership prefers that mediocrity rules the day and anyone who wants to go beyond it are put in their place and punished. Society chose BHO and Society chose class envy over wanting to improve life for those who are not well off.

The modern ChiCom brand of communism has produced more prosperity and less poverty than BO’s brand.

The Romans didn’t think the Goths were a serious threat, either.

Our poor nation of foolish greedy children...we will all suffer for their folly.

This is a HUGE story. Obama not only fails in the PAcific, but the course for China’s rise to replace America in the Pacific has been charted , and thats a fact.

Our surrender monkey POSHITUS has yet agaion presided over a military and economic retreat from our former allies. This I and other predicted , once the woprld saw the betrayal Obama perpetrated, of US allies Libya and Egypt.Upon seeing that betrayal by Obama, Asian nations undestandably did not want THAT fox in their chicken coups,
all of which have Muslim populations.Themessage was sent loudly and cl;early, EFF OBAMA!

I hope OZ can join in with these nations.

I imagine when China starts playing hardball with the U.S. on trade, the debt, Taiwan, etc. it would make it more difficult for them if they were “allies” with us in this Pacific group.

Are my observation correct? I've noticed that other world leaders, other than Muslims who obozo gives our money to, routinely shun our jackass n chief. My sense; they know he is illegitimate and are likely afraid that doing business with him will affect their countries future relationship with the US.

The question is if there will be an actual President that will stand up to those countries? That is, someone willing to instill a sense of fear in Third World nations - instead of someone too willing to be subservient to them?

If it means that the US causes some offense to these countries as a result, fine. It’s not the job of the US to please the persistently unwilling.
