(CNN) -- The United States warned Syria again on Monday not to use chemical weapons amid intelligence reports indicating President Bashar al-Assad's regime could be preparing to take that step as it escalates its fight against rebel forces.
"I'm not going to telegraph in any specifics what we would do in the event of credible evidence that the Assad regime has resorted to using chemical weapons against their own people," Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Monday. "But suffice it to say, we are certainly planning to take action if that eventuality were to occur."
U.S. officials are concerned that with fighting closing in on Damascus, forcing the temporary closure of the airport there, the regime may be feeling desperate and toying with the idea that chemical weapons could finally crush the persistent rebellion.

Notice how the word killing was used instead of the word death. We all were told he was found alive and died on route or at the Hospital from smoke inhalation. So Putin should have said death, unless the story we have been told is a flat out lie. Very coded message. Perhaps they had a hit time in the Hospital as backup in case the local Al Qeada, Syrian regulars and Iranian commandos failed to complete one of the primary objectives

History says he might. Everyone in this region has chemical and biological WMD's. Except oddly enough, for present day Iraq. Egypt used mustard gas and possibly nerve agents during the North Yemen Civil War. During the Iran-Iraq War, Iraq employed blister agents and likely also used nerve agents against Iranian forces. Shortly before war ended in 1988, the Iraqi Kurdish village of Halabja was exposed to multiple chemical agents, killing about 5,000 of the town's 50,000 residents. From Wikipedia. Also read somewhere that Assad's father is rumored to have used chemical agents. But they seem to be scrubbing the web of that info.

And Steven's actually just had a meeting with the Turks prior to the attack. And Putin makes that statement, while on a one day trip to Constantinople. Guess that is what flexibility translates too in Russian. The dirty little secret is that if the best case scenario occurs, the US is already committing 35-75 thousand troops. The media is kinda not even talking about that one. We can always send the TSA and Homeland Security people. Obama probably regards all this as a criminal manner any way, ever since the House of Saud crowned Obama, King of the World.

Bingo...and they will use them , then blame Assad to gave Obama a reason to involve US troops to support the rebel MB to overthrow Assad....
Syria is not Libya... They have superior well trained forces, much better weapons via the Russians, air power, artillery power .... The MB rebels well NEVER take Assad out without US help and support in a much larger way...
Obama is setting us up to help support the “rebels” (MB) to overthrow Assad to surround Israel on all three sides to get them to capitulate to a 1967 border agreement...

Both of these articles have appeared on FR. This version of events makes a lot of sense to me — especially the use of a “false flag” deception to get the EU and NATO involved in toppling Assad. Remember that a Turkish minister met with the U.S. ambassador to Libya at the Benghazi site just before the attack started. The Turkish connection hasn't received a lot of attention. That is, WHY was the Turk meeting the U.S. ambassador in Benghazi instead of the more secure Tripoli Embassy?
This is also my belief. My theory is that the attack on the consulate in Bengahzi was probably Al Quds, Iranian special Forces. The Russians knew we were processing weapons there. They openly complained about it to the UN.
