A local station reported that some of the prices on Black Friday were actually higher than they were last month. But, people are trained to go shop, so that's what they do.
I don't get it.

I don't buy anything but one person's food, clothing, transportation and health care and haven't for the better part of a decade.
This whole scene puzzles me.
As near as I can figure, it is some kind of weird competition or social event.
