My guess is also Beirut - or Beiruth as I believe the stamp on my passport spells it. It was a beautiful place when I was there before it was blown to hell. Look at the cars in the photos, this is an old pic.

They had all day local TV coverage in Gaza.

That evening, celebrities in formal evening wear dined in one of the new restaurants.

Not one major news agency outside the Middle East covered it.

Only Conservative American and Israeli blogs covered the story.

It was a beautiful place when I was there before it was blown to hell....A Pakistani I know, explained all about what happened there. Hezbollah (Hamas, al Queda, whatever) was hired by Dubai to wreck the place to keep international tourists away so they would go to Dubai. That’s why the palm tree shaped islets were made. Made sense to me. How come we never heard that in the news?
