"It is my guess that Obama ordered the Stand Down after he saw the live feed from the surveillance cameras that showed that the ambassador was not going to make it. I believe that the stand down order was given so as not to further anger the Al Qaeda group and that no consideration was given for the safety of the remaining people, located a mile away at the CIA facility, who could have been rescued.

It is my guess that the false narrative, regarding the video, was concocted early on, in the situation room by Clapper, Petraeus’ boss. I also think that it was Clapper’s idea to blame Petraeus for the bad security information."

On it. And what plays into that so well, was Levin's hedge hedge hedge performance on ABC, and King hinting you know we're not to the bottom of this yet, ie The Preezy could be still called to testify.

Note Drudge is showing renewed interest...Rush was all over it Thurs.-Fri.

I feel the sense if we play this out just right, this will be a lame-duck administration from Day 1...

So okay, as is my wont, I will give the pubs free advice.

Say it, over and over and over and over and over....”FOUR AMERICANS DIED”.

Even if it gets boring, say it again and again. Cause for sure the admin or Dems will NOT mention this very important factoid if they don’t have to.

But you know, I have NO faith at all in those pubs, especially with Graham and Mumbles McCain as the spokesnoids.

I think Benghazi will blow over for the American’s infamous short attention span and lack of opposition party stamina.

I think that Benghazi is about something way more sinister than a bad aura over status of terrorism before an election, I think there’s treason and outright murder in the midst of it.

I would like to think that there’s pubs, somewhere, who think it horrible that a sitting President allowed Americans to die for a campaign contribution, for an attempt to fake news, for whatever gosh darn reason than to save them. I’d like to think the pubs, maybe even some Dems (though Feinstein dashed those hopes this morning) might consider that if allow our President to kill Americans for political opportunism, how many will a future President Holder and VP Susan Rice kill during their term?

In short as I get a bit boring, I don’t think the pubs will do anything besides give Graham and McCain some TV face time, play it out for all they can get, then move on.

Sad.

It is my guess that the false narrative, regarding the video, was concocted early on, in the situation room by Clapper, Petraeus’ boss.

There's one totally imponderable question in all of this: Who came up with the "offensive video" excuse...and why?

I seriously doubt it was Clapper. Why would the Director of Intelligence even know about an obscure video posted on You Tube since July that had seen fewer than a thousand hits?

Indeed, who in the administration would have reason to know about an obscure video that ridiculed Islam and bore the amateurish signature of a Pallywood-style propaganda piece -- which had been produced and posted on YouTube for no apparent purpose?

By definition, wouldn't that be somebody who was familiar with the video from its production?

And who might that be? Wouldn't it be somebody whose primary interest was in improving the administration's "outreach" to the Muslim Brotherhood? Somebody who recognized that the video had value as a "provacateur" device?

I think maybe I'd start with Huma Abedin. Or Valerie Jarrett.

Jindal talking about being the party of private sector growth and massive tax reform

Umm Bobby, that exactly the campaign the GOP establishment insisted we had to run in 2012 and you got your asses handed you by the worst President in a century. Maybe the GOP establishment should be asking themselves why, despite running their fantasy "perfect" GOP Establishment fiscal conservative/social liberal candidate in Romney, the GOP turned out 5 million fewer voters in 2012 then they did in 2004?

The lack of security for Consulate in Benghazi and personal protection for Ambassador, as well as abandoning the 40+ US staff to weather the 7 hours of invasion alone, is reminiscent of the scene in Godfather when Michael goes to the Hospital to see his dad and finds no guards, no help and actual complicity by “the authorites” to set Brando out for the buzzards to pick clean.

Totally unacceptable. Time to play like Michael did.

IMHO:
The Administration knew Libya/Benghazi was a powderkeg ready to explode .... they were just riding the “al-Quaeda defeated/it’s all good in Libya” pony as hard as they could, trying to get past election day without it blowing up so Obama could tout his foreign policy/Osama killing .... it was the only real ‘positive’ he had since the economy was/is still in the tank. I think those plotting strategy for the campaign had addressed what in the heck they would do if something like the consulate attack happened BEFORE election day (like on the anniversary of 9/11*) ... how would they handle it? Somebody came up with a ‘protest caused it’ idea and they went out looking for something that maybe could spark one .... somebody got lucky and found that video which had hardly any hits for months, but could be twisted into a narrative to reduce a terrorist attack down to something that could be managed and not kill Obama’s re-election.

Then, it happened .... the terrorists didn’t wait until after election day &, on the anniversary of 9-11, they killed 4 Americans. The video meme was waitng to be employed and it was, quickly and relentlessly. It was the pro-active strategy that had been pre-planned for just such an event, sort of like the “countermeasure flares” that are deployed by aircraft when missiles are fired at them ... the missiles are hopefully diverted by/hit the flare(s), not the plane. The Obama admin is now out of ‘flares’ ... but the missiles of truth were diverted long enough for him to be re-elected.

*They didn’t do the obvious to avoid/survive an attack because beefing up security would be a tacit admission that Obama’s bragging that a-Q were ‘on their heels’ was not in fact the truth on the ground.

Republicans don’t want this protracted fight right now....too many other more important issues,.....

That is always the GOP's excuse when it comes to fighting the Dems. They saidrthe same thing after they the 2010 midterms when they had all of the momentum. They failed to achieve not one cent in spending cuts and passed the largest increase in the debt ceiling in history. Instead, spending continues to increase and the absolute best outcome we can expect from the "Grand Bargain" is a reduction of $4 trillion in deficit spending meaning that we will still add $6 trillion to the national debt during that period.

I don't hold out much hope of any spending cuts. It will be more smoke and mirrors using accounting gimmicks and putting off any real spending cuts until many years out leaving it to future Congresses. Both parties want the spending binge to continue, which will be an inevitable disaster.

Okay, let me state it in summary if you will allow:
-We agree that the administration lied with the information they gave out up to and including that horrible Obama talk to the UN when he asserted that the future did not belong to those who would insult the Profit Mohammed?

-we agree that Amb. Rice agreed, probably for a promise of Sec/State, to go out and be the big dummbbell that would carry the water?

—we agree that four Americans died and every chance they get, the pubs should mention this fact?

—we agree that the so-called CIA Talking points did NOT change themselves no matter how much they shall pee upon our feet and tell us it’s raining. The Blue Blood GOP has to sit around like big dolts discussing how the talking points could have changed themselves, like such a thing is possible, they must discuss in front of our mocking eyes till THEY reach agreement, which might be who knows when?

What we do NOT yet agree on is WHY?

I mean let the Blue Blood boobs sit and discuss the silly, one of these days the Tea Party will suddenly go spinning into space on its own, so we must be ready.

-—finally...well I think we mostly know that it was either Jarrett or one of those illegally in control of our country, we know it, the Blue Blood GOP prolly knows it, the UN knows it, Israel knows it, France knows it, the Muslim Brotherhood knows it...dear Lord....can we get on with this?

Or not.

Somebody make a decision.

Rice was the most reliable and loyal. And being black and female, she was the perfect choice to take the slings and arrows. Already the Dems in Congress are blaming criticism of Rice as being racist and sexist. And let’s face it, Rice could just say that she was reciting the intel community’s talking points. Biden did the same thing in his debate with Ryan. Lots of finger pointing without any accountability.

the GOP turned out 5 million fewer voters in 2012 then they did in 2004?

They are still counting the votes. Right now, Romney has 59,142,004 votes. He will no doubt surpass McCain's almost 60 million and could beat the Bush total of 62 million in 2004.

Wow....Feinstein is spinning in such circles, she makes no sense.

She looked like the Wily Coyote. I expected to see a box in the background labeled, "ACME Story Fabricator; Model X2000".

Now she has gone on and on about the long tours...Hey, it’ s Obama.

Hey, long tours are what happened when Billary spent the Peace Dividend in the 1990's and reduced the size of the active duty military from 1.7 million to 1.1 million.

Before that, National Guard units were activated ..... sometimes. Now it seems they spend more time active than inactive.
