So says John Solomon at the Washington Guardian, citing sources within the intelligence community. Within 72 hours, the Presidential Daily Briefing made it clear, according to Solomon, that the attack did not arise from a spontaneous mob protesting a YouTube video, but instead resulted from a planned, coordinated attack by radical Islamist “extremists” with links to al-Qaeda:

Well about bears, we were in the woods last week, Sequoia National Park, (which by the way makes a PROFIT! We paid $34 each for dinner at Wuksachi Lodge restaurant) We saw lots of wads of toilet paper all over the place out on the trails, and we all said Da Bears! But really, the libtards are always whining about capitalists making profits, it sure is expensive to stay in National Parks! Is that not a profit?
They showed the video of the ambassador being dragged out to the Congressmen, yesterday. That is what convinced me that Obama issued the Stand Down at that time. He was watching.

Why do all these people working for BO always claim they don’t tell him anything. Is it that BO can’t take it and they are scared to tell him? I posted that video to my facebook page and when I recently went back to see it again I found facebook had scrubbed it off MY facebook.
I am taking him at his word because he had to first order the rescue, before he could order the stand down. Both orders had to have come from Obama.

Maybe Rice should have taken her briefing from Candy Crowley, then maybe it she would have communicated it a a Terror attack? /sarc
If groups adversarial to Obama had seized all the operations in Benghazi, far greater damage to Obama’s foreign relations would have transpired.
Obama believes he controls those who committed the actions and the deaths were simply casualties in the ‘fog of war’.
Only the president can order a cross border operation. There was no hardware or team stationed inside Libya that could have done the job. The operations were all on alert and ready to go when Obama ordered the Stand Down.
Right. But from what I heard they were on alert because an attack automatically inspires that stance. I don't know that Obama had ordered anything (other than the stand down).
All of the Libyan groups are adversarial to Obama. Obama may think that he controls the situation but he does not. They hate the US and only want our money. They want us out of their country. That is why Panetta and the others decided to do nothing when the CIA facility was attacked. They didn’t want to further anger the Libyans by responding with force.
It doesn’t really matter whether he actually issued the order to go in, or not, only that issued the Stand Down and went to bed before the attack was over, leaving a bunch of partisan incompetents to manage the situation.
In the 2nd debate, Obama said he was on the phone with his National Security advisors within an hour of the original attack.

One would surmise that one of the advisors advised him of terrorist/extremist actions going on in Benghazi.
That call would have been around 4:45 Washington time, as the attacks started just after 9:30 Benghazi time. Washington is 6 hours behind Benghazi time, depending on daylight savings time.
Note that per the daily presidential schedule, Obama was scheduled to meet with Panetta at a regular security briefing at 5:00 pm Washington time.

Obama voted present to save Americans over potential muslim casualties...the armed forces and diplomatic personnel should be enraged over this fact.
Or as Obama put, the death of Amb Stevens and 3 other Americans are just a bump in the road to better relations with islam.

We know he doesn’t attend national security briefings if they conflict with more important events, like tee times or campaign stops.
And as evidenced (apparently) by his congratulations yesterday to Egypt for helping to dampen the conflict in Gaza—while Egypt’s prime minister was in Gaza expressing Egypt’s solidarity with the `Palestinians’, Palis that Hamas rockets are now killing.
He doesn’t have the time to be briefed on matters critical to this nation, but does have the time to mug with the “not impressed” girl.
Obama “photo-op”= completely inept, incompetent, negligent administration.
I’m sure DU, the 47% and assorted American flakes are proud of their boy.
