Conservatives should vigorously encourage this!

It's a free course in Finance 101.

Hey kids, what happens to Austin after the rest of Texas stops sending money to the University and the [former] state government?

I am sure there are people in Socialist States that would swap places with them. Here in Md, we have a few Conservatives who would make good Texans. I might =be talked into it myself.

It fits.

Best thing to happen to Texas if they can pull it off.

All they have to do is pack up their things and move to New Mexico....I am sure they will find a booming economy there.

Is this really what FR has sunk to? Has inane seccesionist babble really replaced the elevated and intelligent political discourse that used to predominate on FR? Do anyone really think that following gems are anything other than Jr. High stupidity?

Wall of [sic] austin [sic].

We’ll have a wall around the place to keep THEM IN, with barb wire on the top, and when they get hungry enough they’ll go over the wall into the rural areas beyond... and we’ll shoot ‘em.

They better not even THINK about shooting missiles into Williamson County.

Does that mean we can build a wall around it and border checkpoints to keep the crazies in

Make it tremendously expensive to use Texas airspace and land routes to the outside world.

Permission granted. No permission to use our airspace or otherwise cross the border into Texas though.

Chicago ain’t got ‘jack’ on good ol’ Texas-style intimidation.

Tell them:

“Okay - Texas grants your petition. Pack it up and leave the state.”

Austin is a case. It’s a libertarian/communist (a match made in Ayn Rand heaven hell) mess, surrounded by normal people. It is where alex and vam jones come to consensus.

Let them go and charge tolls on all roads out of Austin and deny them air space.

Good riddance, I say.
