Men and women who have served in the military have considerably higher rates of marital infidelity and divorce than the population at large, according to a 2011 study.
"Veteran Status, Marital Infidelity, and Divorce," a paper presented at last year's American Sociological Association Meeting, found that:
32 percent of veterans who were ever married reported that they'd had extra-marital sex, compared with 16.8 percent of ever-married non-veterans; 38.5 percent of ever-married veterans had gotten divorced, compared with 28.9 percent of ever-married non-veterans; For both veterans and non-veterans, sexual infidelity is likely to lead to divorce. People who reported that they'd cheated on their spouses were more than 2.3 times more likely to have gotten divorced than those who hadn't been unfaithful.

Can’t believe I never cheated. Must have been too busy.
Well, even if the study is accurate, it’s timing/release is hardly coincidental.
More interesting would be whether there is a correlation with number of stars.
How many Petraeus GFs are there, in total?
Genitals don't feel emotions. The desire for sex is psychological, not physical.
No, this is bullsh*t. Veterans are just a lot more honest than non-veterans - who won’t admit it when they cheat.
If you have been looking in the commissary for condoms, you have been shopping in the wrong place: you buy groceries at the commissary - condoms would be at the PX. No wonder “they are always sold out”!
This Veteran is in the 68%.
Let's see the study of the % of Politicians who were ever married that had extra-marital sex compared with non-politicians.....
Sometimes—or even more often—it’s not the GI but rather the spouse.
Many years ago I was at the NCO Academy at Charelston AFB in Charleston S.C.
One Friday night at the NCO Club, there were about 300% more women there, all skanked up and ready to party. I asked a friend who was from the base why and he said:
“The Navy has gone out to sea for a multi-month deployment on Tuesday. These are Navy wives.”
Which is why women in subs is a bad idea.
I bet that at least 90% of all people cheat.Tell a mate we are doing a DNA test and note the reaction.
They also have a 100% chance of being killed while on active duty versus 0% of non-veterans.
